Lovely little place

Great modern cafe in the centre of Mora. Not the best cakes I've had but we really enjoyed lunch. Lovely atmosphere inside. Will definitely visit again soon.

Anders Zorn became a portrait painter during the latter part of the 1800s born in Mora but spend much of his adult life in Europe North America painting over 500 portraits amassing a small fortune which helped him to acquire his own collection of silver and other antiquities These are displayed in the museum together with some of his paintings... I came too late to go inside the museum. But I did have time to peruse the gift shop, look at pictures of Zorn's art in the gift shop and then walk the grounds. I personally did not care for the art but I did enjoy the grounds at the museum, and the buildings. I wish I had a chance... More

It's a good idea to do the museum and the house together. You get to know the artist and his wife quite well.

It is a nice museum, but I had hoped that it should have had more works of Anders Zorn. Now the paintings are in two rather small rooms, but if you combine the museum and the Zornsgården you get a really good picture of this famous artist. The Zorn Museum, Ragnar Östberg's last work, is a two-storied rectangular brick building... More

I was in Heaven visiting this museum. Anderson Zorn is a revered artist in Sweden and if you visit this museum you won't be disappointed. I have traveled all over Sweden and return to Dalarna often as my relatives live in several towns in to area. Mora is a bit further than I usually go but well worth the drive... More

My wife and I did just that at midday on Saturday 16 July. Our tour lasted one hour and we were both totally captivated by the stories we heard (in Swedish) about Zorn and his family. And to see inside almost every room, as it was when lived in was very moving. What an extraordinary man, quite apart from his... More

When we visited the museum was exhibiting the works and personal collection of the world famous local artist Anders Zorn. The entry fee was reasonable. The ground floor gift shop sells the usual tourist goods. Toilets are onsite and a very good cafe with indoor and outdoor tables is close by. This is one of the most interesting things to... More

Since it was closed, I visited only the outside. And I totally recommend it. It is the best collection of wooden preserved houses. You can only visit with a guided tour.

This small museum, adjacent to the home of renowned painter Anders Zorn and his wife Emma Lamm, gives an excellent view of his art and life. Nice art displays with good written information in both Swedish and English enable visitors to learn and explore according to their own interests. The museum sits right in the center of Mora town, and... More
