It's been over 20 years since I last visited Monte gordo and was pleasantly surprised by the new boardwalk next to the beach. As I remembered from.last time the beach itself was spotlessly clean with superb firm sand. As it was November the beach itself...More

Amazing beach resort, perfect for families and couples, no night life like Albufeira but with lovely bars, coffee shops, restaurants and late drink pubs with outside sitting area.
Sea is calm and at good temperature and sands cleaned every night.
Perfect sand and sea for bathing , walking or swimming. Boardwalk is a great addition meaning you walk the full length of resort without touching the sand if you want! Yes there is some building work ongoing and we missed most of the construction work...More

Truthfully not at this hotel. The pool is tiny and there is not much room around the pool, so you could watch your child. When we went, although it was in the quiet periods, we found the hotel appealed to older Dutch and German holiday makers who have been using the hotel for years. I would say the grounds and pool are not that great for a young child. Hope this helps.
