Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A nostalgic, romantic and beautiful place, where you can see older fishermen coincide with playing children and young parents. It's a wonderful landmark that I absolutely love. We had a view on it from our apartment, and every morning it made me happy seeing it.

Booked in advance because such an eye-catcher in Blankenberghe, dinner with a sea view, we were looking forward to it. We thought it might be busy, which turned out not to be at all.
Upon arrival 10 minutes of painting until someone came to get a seat in the corner. Then we waited for about half an hour before they came to ask for drinks and the next hour for food. A couple next to us even kicked it off and yet another couple started calling someone themselves. The vol au vent was nothing special and not even a salad. We didn't take anything else because we really had enough.

What a farce. Very Wittenberge. As if you imagine yourself in another country in some suburb. I was alone with the little one and wanted to have a drink here, they said everything was reserved, while 3/4 was free. At one point a total of 8 people came and miraculously there was room. No thanks, I hope they go out of business. Blankenberge highly recommended, friendliness 0.0. This is in several places on the gray dike. If you go into the city, this will improve somewhat, but there is not a hair on my head that would ever think of coming back here again.

We were on a cruise ship which visited Zeebrugge ( P & O Oriana ) and were lucky we made use of the shuttel bus to the seaside resort od Blankenburge in Belgium. The sand and promanade was just lovely and a credit to Belgium. We walked all along the front and on to the Belgium Pier where we stopped for a drink . A nice place to visit and the only down side is that we were only able to stay for a day as we had to return to the ship.

This must be one of the best beaches on the English Channel with pure white sand that looks like a carribean island. Ye man Jammin !!

I’m convinced an experience of this beach will depend on which bit you went to. We didn’t venture into the pier, nor did we frequent the usual touristy shops along the front. However there were a number of ‘Beach clubs’. We had a great time having drinks whilst the children went on slides/swings etc within our sight. We opted for blue beach next to coco loco (near sea life centre, I believe there are at least 2). It was the softest sand I have ever felt. The kids had a good time and us adults could relax in peace. 5 starts from us!!

My favourite place in my lovely hometown ! You can just walk over the sea. Love it in the winter even more than in summer.

There is really no reason to visit this place (or, indeed, Blankenberge in general). From the pier you have a view of Blankenberge's promenade, which is lined from end to end with extremely large and ugly apartment blocks. The only point of interest on the seafront is a sculpture half-way along the promenade which commemorates the deaths of two Belgian soldiers (one from Blankenberge) who were killed in Africa in the late nineteenth century. Belgium's genocidal actions in the Congo at that time are now well-known so it is a little surprising to find such a sculpture so prominently displayed.

There is a nice view with correct food. People were kind. It's nice for a romantic meal in a Belle Epoque atmosphere.

I had organized a family reunion for the family of my wife. We met at the Oesterput in Blankenberge. Unfortunately it was a windy, foggy and cool day...the view on the Pier in Blankenberge was cloudy. I was not able to take great pictures. Nevertheless, when you go and see the Pier on a sunny warm day, I can only imagine how gorgeous this Pier must be.

Worth a visit if you are in the area. The weather was brilliant and the sunset was extremely beautiful.
