Another of the glorious buildings found in this area. Great example of the local architecture. We spent some time walking around the outside and enjoyed taking in all the detail.

The church is on a spectacular large square, surrounded by nice shops and restaurants. I advise to take first a walk on the square enjoying the view on the church. that stands high against the sky. The building itself is beautiful, its internal architecture is both simple and spectacular. Not to miss is the incredible organ above the entrance.

This is a very nice cathedral with beautiful paintings and sculpture. Be sure to walk to the front and get a glimpse of the side chapels next to the main altar.

It was a dull, wet Sunday when we visited the Basilica in the historic centre of Kempten, so there were no shops open, only a few cafes, however that did not dampen our experience. The Basilica is just stunning, in size but especially the interior, one of the most beautiful we have seen. There is also a huge Monastery attached... More

This is the mist impressive and stunning church I have entered. The size and decorations are mind blowing. It date's back more 1200 yaers. When visiting this place take plenty of time to absorb this masterpiece.

A beautiful basilika and the grounds are spectacular also. This historic property is well maintained and a very serene spot.
