Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lake is managed by Hotel Gajner palace who charges 200 per person to access the lake so its a let down because seriously there is nothing to do around this lake in summers

This lake is located at around 30 kms from Bikaner, near Gajner Palace hotel. This is a nice location. You shall make sure not to visit this place during high summers, else your enjoyment may be ruined by the climate, otherwise it is a good picnic spot.

Great place to go. Really enjoyed the view and the ambience and the nature. Also the safari ride in the jeep to see the wild life takes the cake. A must visit for all adventure nature loving people.

Well this was a disheartening moment. We thought of visiting the Gajner Lake on our way. However, this lake (or pond, who knows) is inside a hotel. You have to pay entry fees along with some restaurant charge to enter this hotel. Hence this lake is still run as an owned lake. And this being out of town, the entry charges are quite hefty. Pls avoid this

Situated 30 kms outside of Bikaner, visit this place only if you are going Jaisalmer. Also be prepared to pay heavily for visiting this place.

After visiting Junagarh fort, we took Auto rickshaw (tuk tuk) for Gajner lake visit. it is about 1.5 hrs journey (45 km), after reaching there we were asked to stop as the lake is maintained by Gajner Palace and it is clearly said that the tourist has to pay Rs 250 per head to visit the lake (as cover charge), otherwise you cannot go there.. this is absolutely embarrassing... may be you don't like to visit the palace but you have to go there forcefully and in return you will only get a cup of tea and visit the lake !!!!! and there is nothing great to see in Gajner, so complete wastage of time and energy.

A beautiful palace functioning as a hotel on the banks of the Gajner lake. We did not stay there but went there for a meal. The lunch was superb and the food was rather reasonably priced (yard stick being Delhi restaurants). We spent the afternoon ambling in the lawns and taking a boat ride on the lake, and having a look around the property. Even if you don't or can't stay make sure you visit the palace.

If the weather is good means not too hot .. its the best place to be there. There is a heritage hotel on the lake shore named "Hotel Gajner Palace". One can enjoy boat riding here. Boats are eco-friendly powered by photo cells.

Gajner fort is beautifully sited along marvelous lake of Gajner. The fort was Constructed in red stone and the has been converted into a heritage hotel. It has neatly arranged rooms around large courtyards.
Has a bar, restaurant, lots of greenery.
The outdoor seating of the restaurant along the lake is worth spending an evening.
A must visit place while in Bikaner.
