Ate a meal in the bar which was excellent. Very welcoming and helpful staff. We sat next to a lovely blazing log fire that was most welcome on a wet and fairly cold evening. Most enjoyable meal would highly recommend.

A change to Thursday to accomodate folks busy on Wednesday. A new adventure again inspired by good reviews, plus I seem to be almost cut off from Faversham due to dreadfull Road closures for 6 weeks while yet another masive building estate is haveing a round about and road widening scheme put in place on the A251. Thus my team had to pick me up enroute as I thumbed their lift kerbside. What a good place this Pub Hotel is. Lovely position on the Village Green with large Garden at the rear as well. Good size car parking. Good welcome, good Beers, one chosen was Lighthouse I think, was only a 3.4% session Bitter. Very nice. Great Service from jolly and friendly staff.. Lovely Pub inside roomy yet cosy. Large variety menu to choose from. Suitable for most tastes. Having ordered our meals and tucked in someone noticed that on Tuesday and Thursdays they offer a cheap lunch. The waitres apologised for not mentioning it, but we were not bothered anyway enjoying our large one course meals followed by coffee & biscuite. Only disslike for some is that our Bugers were served on a Bat shaped Board rather than plate which would have been much easier to deal with the lush food on display. (This being a Cricket fan type Pub) Highly recomended. We will be back.

My Wife and I had our wedding reception and wedding breakfast at this amazing venue. We had just shy of 50 guests and we were waitied on like kings and queens. The attention to detail is something that is very special at a wedding and the hosts particularly organiser Nicky were nothing short of amazing. The food and dinner service were complimented by every single guest throughout the evening and was to die for. We highly recommend this quaint pub and restaurant whether that be for an event venue, dinner or just a drink. The overnight rooms above are stunning. Recently redecorated to a high standard. We had a stand-alone bath in the middle of the bathroom that was a dream with dim blue lighting to relax. Please take a look at this beautiful venue and enjoy everything it has to offer.

We have recently moved into the area and are getting to know the local pubs. The flying horse is certainly one we will visit again. We had a meal here and it was delicious. Fast service, freshly cooked food and a really friendly and helpful landlord.

Popped in for a drink with muddy boots on and even muddier dog. Warm, friendly welcome. Great pint of real ale which was well kept. We had lost the dog lead on our walk and they kindly gave us a piece of rope which saved the day. Didn't eat as we were on a schedule but would definitely go back.

My companion and I were taking the country route home and decided to stop for a drink in this pub. Being the driver, he had a soft drink whilst I chose a beer, which I was allowed to taste before purchasing. Very friendly, thoughtful and professional staff whose attention to detail was much appreciated. We plan to return for an evening meal, having seen what others were eating.

This is a good country pub serving simple food, beautifully cooked. I had the steak and Ale pie which was possibly one of the tastiest home made pies I've ever had in a pub!! It was fairly priced too. The staff were friendly and helpful - what more could you want!!? I expect during the summer months it would be a glorious place to sit and have a drink in their gardens as well.

This 17th century pub and restaurant is a most beautiful building. Nearly a perfect pub as it is next to a large green with a cricket pitch (but no church). Wooden floors and exposed beams make this a traditional but light pub, and it has open fires in winter.

There is a large rear garden and you can sit at the front and watch cricket on balmy summer afternoons. Sister pub to the Tickled Trout it serves Trout Pout, the unfortunately ubiquitous Doom Bar and guest beers; Crispin Ale from the Wild Cat brewery in Faversham when we went, a very refreshing beer from a local brewer who has a great range of strongly hoppy summer ales. Rather looking forward to their winter brews.

The clientele is mainly locals with some tourists and less local locals who come to eat. Dog friendly too which is always a good sign.

Worth a visit for excellent beer, great smelling food (we haven't eaten here yet), ease of access, great garden in summer and a very comfortable pub to meet up with friends and enjoy a proper village local.

We called in here for a drink. The staff were friendly and the drinks were fine however the door into the gents toilet needed a good clean as it was sticky and dirty and once inside the toilets they weren't much better! Having read a previous review regarding the scores on the doors hygiene rating for this establishment being given a 1 out of 5 I would not revisit this establishment until they have achieved a minimum of a 4 out of 5 star rating. In my experience the cleanliness of the toilets is a good gauge of the standards of cleanliness for the rest of the premises.
