It's kinda out of the way during your drive, but it's worth it for spectacular views. You could spend hours there gazing at the rock, watching the waves, and contemplating life. Find a nice quiet spot for yourself, wear good hiking shoes, and get lost...More

The ocean around sugar loaf rockscwas very wild, nice spot to see the waves braking around the rock, loads of humoback whales passing by on their migration towards the south. Dress warm with weatherproof jacket.

We visited today and found that the viewing platform was an excellent place to see the whales. We also saw a number of lizards and I am sure there would have been snakes too!

If you cannot manage stepson a 100 metres approximately to get at the top of the view point, give it a miss. It's not very steep. There is no much view from the bottom. I highly recommend Canal Rock which is far more impressive.
