The thing with the parque arvi is that the moment you get off the metrocable you get herded into these touristy presentations where they try to set you up with a guide and blah blah blah. Most people get stuck on this "stroll" that only...More

The park is horribly organized, and actively discourages visitors from exploring the park. We arrived by the cable car, spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to get to the hiking trails shown on the maps. You can't, and even if you...More

The travel to the park is a unique experience, where is possible to se Medellin in all its aspects. The park is big with a lot of options for trecking, bird watching, restaurants, etc... You can stay the whole day and still you wont be...More

It's rather hard to get around all by yourself. Many paths are just with a guide and you do not get a decent map of the park. When you're on your own you have to mostly stay on the roads for walking or a hike....More

Oskar was a very patient tour guide to show us the orchids and bromeliads. There were so many to see on the hike, I would recommend doing more than one tour as you are tucked away from the busy Medellin cityscape.

Incredible views on way up and down. The park itself though requires you to pay to go anywhere. Plus foreigners play extortionate prices for this. You're better off staying on the cable car and coming straight back again.

Took and metro ride, and two cable cars to Parque Arvi about one hour). Paid an extra COP5500 per person for the cable car to Arvi. When we arrived, information confirmed that we are not allowed to walk on any of the trails without a...More

I agree. Metro Cable is the most direct way to travel to Parque Arví. Plus, the views are spectacular!
