Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's a sacred river. Pampa river is related with Sabarimala pilgrim. It is believed that bathing in pampa will clear all your sins. Gift of pampa is called Kuttanad. So many boat races are conducted in this river.

The trekking for Sabrimala starts from here. You can't dip in the river for a bath as it is very unhygeni to do so....you could see the filth from your naked eyes itself.So.....Think before Dip

Pampa, one of the longest rivers in Kerala, is considered as a 'holy-river'. A new experiment related to tourism, is going on the banks of Pampa river and it is named as "Edakkadavu Tourism".
Edakkadavu tourist site is located in 'Chengannur' taluk and 6 km from Chengannur town and 5 km from the famous 'Parumala Church'. A small and cute park is arranged on the banks of Pampa river and it is marvellous. 10 rupees is the entrance ticket rate and one can spend as much time he/she wish. It is 'children' who really enjoy this place. A small counter is arranged for ice-creams and snacks. In the evening time local food will be available from "thattukada".
One of the greatest attractions of Edakkadavu tourism is boating through the mighty Pampa river. Commonly almost majority of us only experienced small lake boating and almost all these lakes are man-made. But 'Edakkadavu' boating is really a different experience. A Kerala styled boat(kettuvallam) is arranged for boating and one can experience the real living river, its might and life around it. 100 rupees is charged for a person and can accommodate up to 20 people.
I never say that "Edakkadavu tourism" is so great. But, if anybody wants to spend some leisure time with children and family with an economic budget 'Edakkadavu" is the best place. I guarantee.
N.B.: Never come only to "Edakkadavu Tourism" treating it as a primary destination. Visit it as a resting place or as a secondary destination.
