Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

WE had a great time at this winery trying the wines. We couldnt fault any of the wines and left with quite a few. Definitely add this one to your list if you are in Stanthorpe.

For such a small cellar door it was the most impressive time we had during our stay in Stanthorpe/Ballandean region. We loved everyone of the wines we tasted at the cellarroom. The owner was knowledgeable and interesting to speak with.
Highly recommended.

Run entirely with the husband & wife owners with a great passion & pride in the wines they produce. Excellent wines at an affordable value and no pesky tasting fee. Small and very friendly surroundings.

Do yourself a favour and check out this great little family owned and operated winery. Our host Steve, who is also the winemaker, was very friendly and welcoming.

We recently stumbled across this little gem while exploring Stanthorpe region. It is a family owned and run winery situated just under the hills. The wine tasting was held outside whilst seated at tables. The hosts were very welcoming and we were very comfortable in sitting and talking with them about their wines. The wines were also good quality and enjoyable. This is a winery that we will definitely return to.

The winery, set alongside the tree covered and rocky hills, is the southern-most on the Granite Belt and worth the drive to taste the fresh, crisp and fruit-driven red, white and sparkling wines. Steve is more than happy to share his wine-making expertise and stories with his visitors.

Do yourself a favour and visit Girraween Estate Winey - it’s a real gem. Steve and Lisa are such lovely hosts and not only love wine, but clearly love people sharing their passion and their wines. We were treated with a lovely tasting a behind the scenes walk through.

I have been visiting this winery since the early 90’s when it was under different ownership. The winery is located down near Girraween National Park in a beautiful location. It is well worth the visit.
The reds are excellent and award winning. The hosts are very nice and happy to explain the details behind the wine. We should support wineries such as this who are doing an excellent job of producing special drops.
