About
Balancing Heart Vineyard is a 100 acre vineyard, 9 minutes from Ballandean on the Granite Belt. We have 13 varieties of grapes growing on our property, all grown on the perfect granite belt decomposed soil, creating perfect cool-climate wines. We are also one of the highest vineyards on the granite belt with grapes growing close to 1000 metres above sea level. We really care for our land and sharing unique experiences with our customers.
We have just renovated our cellar door to a modern luxe interior and are building a new cellar and restaurant followed by accommodation in 2023. Come and enjoy a tasting and experience at one of the nicest cellar doors and properties in the district. Sunset wine tasting sessions enjoying our outdoor pizza oven area, Friday - Sunday afternoons & evenings. Bookings essential.

We recently visited Balancing Heart Vineyard
On a Saturday evening we arrived to a beautiful sunset, lovely views, great live music and fantastic wine, service and pizzas.
Although they were very busy everyone was lovely and we were able to do some wine tasting and pizzas were delivered very fast.
We enjoyed it so much we returned two days later for lunch.
Balancing Heart is a must visit place!

A great gift from our children whilst visiting the Ballendean area - dinner and tasting - do yourself a favour leave room for dessert pizza - apple crumble - great wines - great pizza - lovely surroundings with good service.

The views are stunning, the pizza and wine are absolutely delicious, and unique. They have great, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Brilliant to see their cows, dogs and sheep. Dog friendly and really great live music nights. Highly recommend a visit or multiple visits

Dropped in here midweek, quiet at first. Wine tasting provided by a lovely, friendly young lady on her first day. Ordered pizza for lunch afterwards and this was quick and delicious. Beautiful to sit out in the sun by the dam with a glass of wine.

This was our first visit to Balancing Heart and we thoroughly enjoyed our great lunch and wine tasting. Their staff are passionate about their wines and very knowledgeable. The wines are superb and we lashed out on these also. We were delighted to chat with the winemaker whom we found very affable and unpretentious. We think their fine reputation is well deserved and recommend them highly. Hmm.. not surprising to read negative reviews from folks in tour groups, who in our experience barge en mass into places, destroying the ambiance and expecting all to be served at once…

Angry winemaker serving clients doesn’t work. The previous 3 wineries were great and we bought a lot of product - Angry Anderson wine maker should just make wine and not be at the front of sales open to criticism. You might need to pay someone to remove your bad reviews as our whole group have recommended our many British & Australian friends to steer clear of this winery. Dismal performance - worse than English Cricket Team in the current Ashes!!!

We were absolutely amazed at the beautiful ambience. Sitting in the sun on a freezing July Saturday. I'm a local and my son and daughter in law are from Brisbane. Wine and pizza were so good, accompanied by fantastic music. My grandchildren loved climbing the trees and feeding the resident cows. Would totally recommend and will certainly be back.

Our tour group arrived for a pre-booked wine tasting and unfortunately experienced the worst customer experience imaginable. The aggressive and abrupt manner in which the wine maker conducted the tasting was a sight to behold, belittling guests when the wines weren’t to their taste. It was a chore to provide some water and buckets when requested during the tasting. If the owners want to keep the gates open, it would be advisable to keep him and his disgusting behaviour back of house and away from paying guests

Balancing Heart is in a lovely location. Aside from wine tasting, you can get great woodfired pizzas and sit at one of the tables overlooking the lake. It's a very pleasant way to have a leisurely lunch. On weekends, you can eat here at night too and they have live music.
