The Laguna Golf Course has earned a reputation as being a somewhat unique offering within the Vilamoura golf portfolio. While its many water hazards and few trees set it apart, it truly finds its individuality in the number of holes which convey characteristics of a traditional links layout. American golf course architect Joseph Lee was given the responsibility for setting out the Laguna Course over low-lying coastal terrain, and in this setting was able to establish 18 holes which offer a wide variety of playing conditions. Having been fortunate to play most of the courses in this and surrounding areas, Laguna is definitely the poor relation. A few Euros cheaper than other courses nearby, it is still overpriced for the general level of service service and quality of the course. Many...More

Unfriendly desk staff. Other staff vary from pleasant to gruff! Course very nice, challenging enough. Greens well kept. Book tee time.

Great challenge for any handicap golfer , some great holes around the course and as the name suggests quite a bit of water . Ideal course to walk round in the sun as it's not the longest and easily walked . Good challenge

A more mature course than a number of the other Vilamoura Courses and well worth including on a tour. Very close to Vilamoura, good club house and sensibly priced and ok to walk. Good greens and enough water to make it interesting but not impossible.

Not impressed with the service at this course. We arrived late as our plane was delayed and were told by an unfriendly female staff member that we'd have to wait for a slot, which we naturally agreed to without complaint. We then went to the...More

Fantastic golf course and a good challenge for all levels of golfer. Greens fast and receptive, wide fairways and plenty of interesting water hazards. Only downside was having to wait for two four-balls to tee off when we reached the 10th but didn't take too...More

Course was challenging, if a little samey. Mainly had to battle reed beds and lakes. Not a lot of tree cover. Food was bad. Pizza was bland and lacked sauce/flavour, burgers were frozen and greasy, club sandwiches came in burger rolls. Chips were oddly hollowed...More

Played in a ladies 4ball on our first golf holiday. More challenging than Millenium. Need to ignore groups of male golfers that play slowly & comment on your technique. Course Rangers were excellent in speeding them up & looking after us

Have played four of the five Oceanico courses this week (final one - Old Course - last day). Course was very good and plenty of challenging water based holes. The welcome and Starter weren't as good as Millenium, Victoria and Pinhals in explaining the course,...More

I agree with Nataliemu, they are recommended due to heat and you do not need GPS because the Caddies that come with the Buggy know every inch of the course so will give you distances you require! I did not need a bucket and... More

Although we took our own, I believe that the courses have facilities for club hire. Certainly there are speciality golf club hire shops at the airport. I believe that the green fees will be 80-120 euros depending on date... More
