This lovely castle in Zeist is a well preserved attraction built in the 17th century by Willem of Nassau, a brother of the king at that time. The architect also built the royal palace in Het Loo. Later it was purchased by the Moravians with...More

Nice grounds, not particularly remarkable on outside, did not tour inside. The real attraction is all of the parkland nearby, and the Moravian buildings nearby.

A lack of signs could and should be fixed. A visit should not start with looking for parking and looking for the right entrance.

We had a guide (Theresa) to take us around. Nice to see the Council spent money in the 1960's bringing the place back from the brink of demolition. Historic value very good (William I - III era)

No English guides and castle only open Sunday for tours. It was still nice to walk around the grounds and look at modern sculptures. There is a brasserie and dining option.

We loved the guided tour through the castle with volunteer guides of the 'Zeist Gilde'. Informative, behind the scenes. Access to all rooms. No question unanswered. Very sympathetic group of volunteers giving the tours for a nominal fee. Great!
