Not included in the "Merida one price ticket" but worthwhile.

Very nicely displayed museum, don't miss the basement. You can see the old Roman road as well. The Roman coin display is magnificent.

This is one of the nicest museums i've been to in Europe. Very open, organized and clean. You truly get a great stroll thru the Roman history of Merida and the surrounding areas.

Loved this museum. The displays are well presented and of excellent quality. You have to visit the crypt which is a site underneath the museum. The bronzes are great. Merida has a fantastic history and it's on display here.

I highly recommend this museum - the collection is world class and the museum building is impressive on its own.

The exhibits are good, but the building architecture is where this museum shines. Designed by the best living Spanish architect, Rafael Moneo, who was also the architect for Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in LA. This museum is one of his earlier works and has a simple purity and clarity to its design.

This museum isn't very large but has some wonderful Roman relics and some of the best mosaics I've seen. Definitely worth a visit.

The National Roman Museum is a 3 story structure sitting over a section of Roman Road. The museum holds a fantastic collection of the original Roman artifacts obtained from other sites around Merida including some spectacular tiled floors and sculptures. The basement includes the Road together with what appears to be a collection of artifacts yet to be curated and... More

Fascinating place. Well worth the price of admission after or as you visti the nearby sites.. Amazing to see all the things the Romans left behind in Iberia.
