Enjoyed the visit as it wasn't too crowded when we were there (a nice change from Seville and Granada. The site is well preserved/restored and there is a lovely garden. We had wanted to see the camera obscura but unfortunately it was closed when we were there in October. There was nowhere to buy drinks but we had a pleasant... More

There is a lot to see within its walls from Moorish times to the last century, and is .certainly worth a visit. The views from the old tower are great and it is photogenic. The gardens.have some lovely trees and shade.

We had a day trip to Jerez and decided to visit the Alcazar. It was a very pleasant way to pass an hour or two - the views from the walls over Jerez and the surrounding countryside are lovely. There are also plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. It was a lovely sunny day, which also helped.

A great way to spend an hour or two. Good English information boards all round make an interesting visit. Gardens obviously more colourful from spring onwards. Extremely reasonable entrance charge especially for pensioners!!

Anybody who loves history and architecture will love this. Sign posts with information explain in detail what each section of the place was used for etc. It is also a nice place to meander and look at the entire city from atop of the fortification.

TheAlcazar is relatively small but still very interesting. It houses an old olive press and Arabic baths. There is also a camera obscura. This place is well worth a short visit.

Great history and a birds eye view if you climb the wall and tower area. The gardens were nice and it was helpful to have the signage in English as well as Spanish.

The former Moorish Alcazar is well worth a visit. it is thought to originally date back to 11th century. Several walls remain and at least two towers Remains of baths can be seen. There is a park nearby.
