Extremely well preserved, is probably one of the finest and most beautiful old towns in Spain. Worth a visit. And is Extremadura so go and stuff yourself with the best pork in the world.

Old city centered is clean, has nice views and is just beautiful. Recently refurbished. Has great gastronomical choice and you can visit many churches and old palaces. Just loved it!

This is a beautiful city on a hill with well preserved walls surrounding this medieval city. Does not feel touristy since there are very few in town and is an enjoyment to walk around at a slow pace, sucking the history around you.

The walls and the inner city are well-restored, the city perched on a hill overlooking the countryside. Stark stone buildings with no decorations except for family crests, narrow streets, few small plazas. Vegetation seems to be limited to the inner gardens. Few storks on steeples or flying in the air. Few tourists, does not feel touristy. One does get the... More

I went there for a one-hour visit as part of a longer tour in Edtremadura. I didn't have much time to go into too many places but I tried to adapt to what I have which was one hour. I started my tour from the Plaza Mayor and took a walk up the stairs under the Star Archway (Arco de... More

Old town Cáceres feels as if you stepped into Medieval Times. Plenty of churches to visit, a very good museum, a few shops and towers with grand views. Spend a leisurely day taking in the sights of old town.

The old town of Cáceres is like walking back in time. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring all the little streets and museums about the history of the houses. There are no modern buildings and being there makes you feel as if you're in a Game of Thrones episode.

We came here to visit the town and have dinner at Atrio. Stayed at NH collections and dinner at Atrio is the perfect combination. Strolling through the old town is a pleasant visit and can be easily done in one day. Lots of cafes at the main square and 2 streets of basic shopping near the main square.

Did not know what to expect from the town. Looks bit shabby in the modern part. Park in town nice, easy bus service. Helpful bus drivers. Then the old town, follow the walls, lovely cobbled alleys, castles, old churches and super Spanish squares. See the iron statues and monkey hanging off the wall.
