There is a knowledgeable guy in uniform there who will explain the history. 1998 was a special year because they had the 1200 Jahre Minden Stadtjubilaum. Free to visit and an ideal place to take a group. You can even grind your own corn.

This was such an interesting visit. The old water wheel still turns, but now is aided by an electric motor. We watched the flour being ground and were told that whilst the quantities were not enough commercially, the local house wives were able to buy....More

This is a wonderful place to visit, it is a working flour mill that still makes flour that you can buy. Afterwards I recommend a beer in the Biergarten next door.
