We were there as part of a Scenic River Cruise that included a tour of the castle and an opera show in the evening. The guided tour included most of the rooms which still had their period furnishings, it was very impressive especially the ceilings. The walk into the castle with the gardens and forecourt is magnificent. The guide was... More

Visited this castle for an evening classical concert and what a treat, both the concert and the tour through some of the rooms. The pink/orange building was illuminated for the occasion as was the impressive gateway into the massive courtyard. Built to recreate the grandeur of the Palace of Versailles, the plasterwork, frescoes, furniture, ceilings, chandeliers etc were no less... More

We were part of a tour group that enjoyed a private concert at this palace. It was the highlight of our two week Rhein River cruise. Highly recommend.

Castle/schloss Rastatt was a great place to visit. We arrived at the ticket office about 10 after 10 so we missed the first tour, even though there was nobody else. So we bought a ticket and waited until 11 for a tour in German with english text. I'm sorry the text is not the same as a tour. While everybody... More

We were fortunate to have a private tour as part of our cruise, which included an opera performance, which was fantastic. The palace was excellent, the art and architecture was brilliant. Apart from the weather, which isn't anyone's fault, couldn't be happier.

The castle itself is beautiful. The inside is gorgeous - not a whole lot to see though! definitely not worth the admission fee if visitors are not allowed to take the time and enjoy it at their own pace. You can only see the castle with the 50 min guided tour. We are from US, visited the castle 10 days... More

This big orange/pink/red castle in the center of Rastatt is not easily to miss. You can only visit with a tour guide. Ours had enough knowledge of the castle and his history and the inhabitants to fill an hour.

Nice castle, now a great museum. Nice garden on grounds. Most of exhibits were military. Has a piece of Berlin Wall. Easy walk from Hotel, convenient.

We were able to attend an operatic concert in this fine old castle, now converted to a museum. The interiors were more spectacular than the exterior.

It's nice to see it in pink color. I thought it was a trend color at the time as I saw many other building have the same color too.
