It is good place to spent some time and learn history of area. The castle is located in a very nice place, very good for walking, even when the weather is bad. Free parking on site.

A nice museum about the history of Sønderborg, and the battle that has been fought. With a lot of paintings and information about the history, also in English and German.

Old fortress castle with great view over the bay. Look for the falcon nest on the wall. Beautiful birds.
