Amazing trail, peaceful, secluded, shady. The hike is easy, through a wonderful rolling landscape, typical of Block Island. The beach at the end is gorgeous, uncrowded, and perfect for a swim. A place to visit if you enjoy getting off the beaten path.

The clay head nature trail is a good spot for hiking on Block Island. It’s natural and tough but not too difficult to hike.

The bluffs along this trail are not quite as dramatic as Mohegan Bluffs, but still scenic and worth a visit nevertheless. There is a small parking lot near the end of a bumpy dirt road. We walked all the way to the North Lighthouse along...More

It look too wild for swimming, but it's a nice walk in from Corn Neck Road, though the sign to the trailhead is hard to spot coming from the lighthouse. Wear sneakers- the trail can be wet

Nice hike with lots of great views at the tops of the bluffs. A short walk takes you initially to the beach and then you can continue on for a mile or so. Scenic lookouts, good bird watching.

Favorite place on the island to run and see the ocean cliffs. Trails are shaded and there is an access point to the beach. It would be great for a hike outing with kids/family.

Many beautiful views along this hike, as you walk along a path near cliffs. No worries if you don’t like heights, you are not on the very edge. Also can do the maze trails, which wander through fields. We headed north and then took in...More

Easy walk to through vegetation until it opens up at the beach. Enjoy the beautiful sound of the birds singing through this great trail.

Its a great place to find lovely peaceful views of ponds, farms, the ocean and forests. Sadly it comes with a small boat load of trash. I collected a bag full of empty beer cans and would have been able to fill several more……Protected land...More

Yep, off of Corn Neck Road, there is a sign for Clayhead and parking at the end of a rather long and bumpy dirt path.

The trail is fairly level w/ a one gradual relatively short down hill section if you take the right junction trail to the beach. Otherwise to the left at the junction you are walking slightly up and down on a high ridge... More
