The Great Salt Pond is a beautiful natural resource. The kayak and paddle boarding is great and there are many acres to explore with several bridges and tributaries that can be followed. The remote beaches that are accessible by boat are much harder to get...More

We rented Kayaks at the Sullivan Inn (where we were staying) and did a four mile kayak in the Pond. It was great fun. We kayaked out to the Coast Guard station.

We did the 2 person private tour of Block. Had a great time. The pilot was very nice and the helicopter was in great shape. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Block Island as a must do!

Nice beach to walk and look for cool rocks. At least that's what we did. We went in September so it was too cool for a dip in the water. I would imagine in season, there are more boats.

Friends graciously invited us to stay on their yacht anchored here over the Independence Day Holiday. We had such a fun time and look forward to visiting again.

If you don't want to get a slip, you can drop a hook and relax, well protected and there's a boat that will come by with water and ice if needed. Not sure if there is a launch to get you to land.

This is one of many environmental influences on the island. As you travel up to the North lighthouse it is visible from your car. Very picturesque!
