    Top Notch Sourh West Brewery
This was our second visit and it didn't dissapoint. We were greeted on arrival and as we had booked we had been reserved a table undercover, we asked if we could sit out in the sun as it was a beautiful fine winters day. No problems. Their beers are great and you can actually find them sold on many wineries and pubs in the South West. I have to comment about the food. Absolutely delicious. All of their dishes are fantastic and we all enjoyed our meals. I partularly recommend their ribs. Scrumptious. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. As this is also dog friendly we also got to say hello to some pups that were dining in. A great visit.
Thanks for taking the time to write this review Chizzel! We're stoked you enjoyed your recent Beerfarm experience, we hope to catch you again sometime soon! Cheers, Team Beerfarm

    Great beers
We visited for lunch after many recommendations. The place is different (in a good way) & rustic. I can imagine it’d get muddy there on wet days so you’d need to wear appropriate shoes. Aside from the amazing beers, I loved the ladies toilets. Food was disappointingly average. I would only go back for drinks, the laid back vibe & of course the toilets.

    Good venue for large groups
Perfect place for the young and insta-gramable, however the venue is very welcoming to everyone including dogs. Perfect venue for large groups with loads of space, inside and out, great playground for the kids and loads of green space to sit on if you would like to get away from the crowd (or the band). Loads of brews to choose from as well as local wines which are very good and reasonably priced. The food goes beyond your standard micro-brewery food with interesting food choices.

    Lunch with our dog!
Booked for lunch on a Friday with our corgi. Great service and the place is nice: lots of space. However we ordered the birria and were disappointed. Meat wasn't tender and it did not come with a lot either so was mainly meat :(

Booked to go for the Friday night "Raise the Steaks". But need to pre order day before (Thurs) If want one of the two large cut offerings on the menu. The Black Angus Cattleman Steak (serves 2) or the Black Angus Rump Cap (serves 4-6). Apparently the meat is from their own black angus cattle so limited numbers of large cuts are available so we had to pre order asap.
so 5.20 pm day before (Thurs) ordered the black angus cattleman steak for two. Received email we missed out but their are plenty of dishes on the menu to choose from. We were so disappointed on missing out but decided to go anyway. That was a mistake to go. The menu was limited. Ordered the 300g five founders scotch fillet which was so overpriced. The 3 small pieces of dry smoked pork belly with the soba noodles were more like pork jerky and overpriced. The green range lamb shank was small and also overpriced. In the one hour we were there, we only spotted one large cut offering come out of the kitchen. We ended up leaving hungry. In my opinion recommend not to go for those Friday "raise the steak nights "if you miss out on the large cut offerings as the rest of the menu was disappointing.

Hi Sophie, Thanks for taking the time to write this review. It is true that our large cuts are so limited as they are from our very own herd of Black Angus cattle. The Raise the Steaks evenings have become very popular and with this the large cuts often sell out in minutes, sometimes as little as 2-3 minutes. We are regularly working on ways to help people understand this, one thing is emailing all the bookings earlier in the week to outline just how important it is to be on there as soon as the emails come out at 5pm. We completely understand the frustration of missing out and that is why we ensure that there are still plenty of other delicious menu items available. We pride ourselves in customer service and had you mentioned that your meal was less than satisfactory we would have 100% helped to rectify the situation. Next time please be sure to chat to one of our friendly staff who will ensure you have something you enjoy. We have a great local following who come most weeks and many of them do not order large cuts and come just for the special dinner menu so it’s a shame your experience did not reflect this. Hopefully you guys will get an opportunity to come back and give it another chance. Cheers, Beerfarm team

Downstairs was noisy and full of families with young kids- who were running around between the tables and bar stools. The staff were busy welcoming new patrons and serving at the bar but the parents were happily drinking and letting the kids disturb everyone else. Say no more about the poor parenting! However, upstairs was quiet and far enough away from the hubbub to be quite congenial. Roadies are not cheap at $20 min for a four pack, but the quality is high.

Hi G6160AUcraigd, Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Being a family friendly venue, we often have children in the venue, the playground, footy field or on the slip and slide on weekends. We're glad that you were able to enjoy a quieter part of the venue on your visit here though! We hope to catch you another time soon! Cheers, Team Beerfarm

I love Beerfarm and I am a regular here. Last night was the first time I have been to Beerfarm for dinner, for the special Friday night dinner menu. It was well worth braving the cold as there is plenty of indoor heaters.
I had the Cone bay barramundi and it was amazing. My wife had the scotch fillet which was to die for.
The Kids has the huge fish and chips.
I even stepped out of my IPL comfort zone and grabbed the Hazy IPA instead, which was well worth it.

You can also pre-order massive steaks and share platters like a beef shin taco board, which I will definately do next time. They are huge.

Beautiful local food and produce along with excellent beers, Beerfarm is a true display of what the South Wet has to offer. Thank you the the Beerfarm managers and staff. You are a South West Icon.

Came here on a whim as I had a fantastic meal here last time, order our drinks and then ordered the ribs, jalapeño chicken wings, beef cheeks and chips. Food was prepared in a timely manner and I was really excited to show my partner how good the food was. Sorry guys we were let down with the chicken. The ribs were nice as were the beef cheeks but if you just had these you’d starve. Chips were magnificent, the chicken however we felt that they weren’t freshly made the flesh had a strange taste to them which wasn’t pleasant and the coating was kind of soggy and not crispy, my other half didn’t like them at all. We were there on a weekday and it was busy, the staff were very friendly and the setting was great. My partner wasn’t very happy about the meal though.

Hi mate, thanks so much for sending over your feedback. It is really important to us to make sure all of our guests leave with a smile on their face so we always ask that you approach any member of our staff to let them know of any issues so we can do our best to rectify them. We would always rather have the opportunity to correct our wrongs whilst you are with us however we do take all of your feedback on board and it's great to hear that you enjoyed the Venue. We have a lot of positive feedback on our chicken wings, they are one of our most popular options so I can only apologise that you didn't enjoy them. I hope that we can persuade you to come back and give the food another shot! Cheers

Much cooler and classier than expected, after an awesome big shed with a much appreciated pot belly stove in the middle. Husband liked trying the beers and got a couple of four packs. I liked the cider but would like to see another cider on the menu. Although its always so much better on tap, will look for it in the shops now. Food menu looked pretty good and great to see dogs allowed inside on a rainy day. Would love to head back here in summer for boozy lunch. Beer lovers will appreciate the paddles here, they looked good.

The food! Oh my god, the food! This was the best meal we've had down south. This is a must try, don't miss out kinda situation. We were lucky enough to have booked the last ribeye platter on the last night of "raise the steaks" and holy cow, it did not disappoint. Every bite was like a warm hug, but instead of arms wrapped around your shoulders it was flavours wrapped around your soul. Duck fat roast potatoes, honey carrots w/ goat's cheese and dukkah, fried onion rings, broccolini w/ hummus. All incredible distractions from the hero steak that melted like butter on our tongues. So much food too. We were hungry, so nearly smashed the whole platter but it's now the morning after and I'm still full. My wife is pregnant so we didn't try any beer, but looks like a they've got a fair few on offer. Super chilled, dog friendly environment. Very friendly, helpful staff. Top marks for this hidden little gem. Best kept secret in the South, but everyone should know about this. A++ 150%, very happy camper.

Hey Sam, Thanks so much for taking the time to write such an epic review- a little poetic even! We all loved hearing that the flavours from your meal wrapped your soul in a warm hug. The kitchen work hard each week to bring these to the tables of our customers and feedback like this is brilliant. We hope you guys get a chance to come again once Raise the Steaks is back in 2022. Cheers legend!

This was actually a bit of a surprise.  I have heard good things beforehand and were visiting for the first time.

At first glance,  upon arrival I was wondering if we were at the right place as it just looked like an old farm from the carpark. As you approach,  you notice that they have kept a lot of the charector by incorporating the previous dairy farm into its restaurant theme.

As we had our dog with us we went into the outside area but as it was raining we managed to get seating in a covered outdoor seating area. This had long table seating.  This is an interesting place and their food is great. We had the wings and ribs, Mmm. Their beers were also great.  This is on our list to visit on our next venture down south. BTW - will book next time as even though we were there mid week,  getting a table was difficult.

Coming to the end of a lovey wine tour. Great guide. Lots of interesting facts etc. nice guy. Really enjoyed the whole experience except for our last destination. The Beer Farm. The name implied the most excellent end to an absolute wonderful day. Rolled in and ordered a tasting plate and met with quite a surly bartender. He did not seem overly pleased to see us or serve us. This was commented on by a few in our group. None of which were intoxicated as we had several non drinkers in the group. My second encounter with the gentleman was worse. He tried to serve me a single malt whiskey in a beer glass. When I asked for a short glass he basically said no they don’t have any. Which is very interesting as he had already served my friend with one. When I suggested I was not satisfied with my Whiskey in the middy glass. He basically said. Tough. I ended up buying a beer instead. Left with a bad taste in my mouth. We were all happy to leave and go elsewhere. Thanks for the enjoyable memories Liam.
By the way. The venue was great. Views lovely. I definitely would have bought a bunch of people back but sadly I felt we got significantly better service and felt more welcome elsewhere. So many lovely places to see in the area sadly this will not be one we will revisit.

Hi Ed_Bear22 Thanks so much for taking the time to create a Trip Advisor account to write to us. I would like to apologise for our lack of short glasses for your Jamesons. This is absolutely something that we will address however this is where my apology ends. The language that you used towards our staff member goes against the one and only rule that we have here at Beerfarm, with showing respect to everyone. I think that you can see from our other reviews that we are known for our hospitality, especially our friendly and helpful team. Liam dealt with your aggressive language and behavior like a professional and went above and beyond to apologise to the family with a small child that were behind you at the bar. Please thank the other three people on your table for their sincere apologies for your behavior, especially the gentleman that came back in to give our staff a generous tip. Regards, Emma

We just had the pleasure of visiting this venue for a drink/lunch and we were really impressed by their organised process, but way more importantly the bevvies and food!

Check in was quick and fuss free, despite them being practically booked out (& we had no booking) so we hurried up to order our lunch before the hordes arrived.

Heaps of options for GF diners and we both settled on a steak sanga for hubby and GF pork belly tacos for me. Both meals were ready to be collected within half an hour, impressive given the amount of people in the place. It actually took longer lining up for two rounds of drinks than it took to get meals!

Tasty tasty food, steak sanga man said “super tasty & tenderest steak I’ve had in such a long time” and he’s man of few words when it comes to food critique! Tacos just full of flavour and well balanced with pickles etc.

Couldn’t really fault it except for wait time at the bar and would be great to see a kid-free area as not everyone has or wants to hear kids while they’re out as a couple....sigh.....FN school holidays .

After 30 minutes drive just for a beer or 2 at Beerfarm today a woman at the entrance told us they were closing earlier today. Customers at the tables had still full beers in their tables and others still ordering at the bar. I continue to walk to the bar and one waiter/manager stopped me and asked me what I wanted. I explained to him we drove 1 one hour return for a beer here and I was hopping to have a quick one with my brother in law from Melbourne and this one will be finished before others customers finish their own. He told me it was not possible and it was written on their website closure earlier. I replied to him I never checked a website before to go somewhere (I did after and their closure hour for the day was the same as usual). Very disappointed, even if the beer is good I won't return in he future, bad hospitality.

Hi Keivin, Thanks very much for your feedback, and as always, we are sorry when anyone leaves disappointed from Beerfarm. The person who stopped you was our host and the time was 3.40. After a huge Anzac weekend trade, we rung last orders at 3.30 in order to close the doors at 4pm in preparation for a SOLD OUT live pod cast starting at 5pm with WSL's Kelly Slater, a huge deal for a business like ours. We are sorry that you didn't get your beer with your brother in law, but Im sure you can relate to us wanting to ensure the remainder of the evening ran well for everyone that had purchased tickets and we had enough time to complete the stage setup in the venue. There was signage on our website, socials and even on the road leading to the venue, we apologise you didn't see this, Saying we have "no experience" is quite to contrary to our usual reviews, so Im hoping you cans ee this was an isolated incident not aimed personally at you. A friendly word of advice though, to ensure you dont experience this same disappointment in the future, especially considering the state of hospitality venues and COVID right now, I would always recommend checking opening times for hospitality venues, The region is so spread out and most venues down here are destinations and alot are still bookings because of the old COVID pandemic going on. Just today, 3 venues, including ourselves cannot open due to staff shortages, so it never hurts to check to see if the business is trading. We hope you give ius another shot and If there is anything we have missed, please feel free to email us on info@beerfarm.com.au. Its hard out there, so please try to be kind Cheers Team Beerfarm
