Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Oh my
What an experience. Nothing but positive things to say. We attended jack rabbit for a Christmas work function for lunch on a Sunday. Despite being extremely busy the service was some of the best we have experienced. The food was incredibly enough that we would love to work our way through the menu.
The kangaroo with blackberry relish is the best kangaroo I have ever had a a restaurant can not recommend it enough, my husband would say the same for the duck
We will most definitely be back to work our way through the menu

Family member and myself went to Jack Rabbit Vineyard restaurant for lunch upon hearing good reports.
Busy on this day, dining inside or outside on the grassed area.
You walk up to the counter to purchase your drink and food order.
Choose a couple of glasses of shiraz, $12 each.
For starter, we ordered the sourdough (4 slices), dipping olive oil and granola, $12.
This was ordered to be served first prior to our mains arriving.
I chose the Braised Bellarine lamb shoulder salad, olive oil granola, feta, red onion, rocket, tomato, balsamic, $28.
Family member chose fried local squid, cherry tomato, orange, sprout, fried shallot, citrus mayo, $28.
Family member commented not on the plate, no sprout, orange, fried shallot, and the tomato was only ONE half of a cherry tomato.
Service of the sourdough order was fairly quick.
But, family member had to ask a passing waitress on two occasions we were still waiting for our main courses before they finally arrived.
Come back again, most likely not.
There are many other fine eating establishments on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Well this Winery is sited on a hill and when you walk into the cafe area the view you are met with is spectacular and it is easy to see what a great place it is to be there.
Very busy when we went but despite that we were seen to a table quickly.
The expectation here is to select your drinks and food and go to the counter and order and pay, which is fine and an easy process.
The wine was really nice and our platter came very quickly. Platter was very nice with some excellent cheeses on it.
But on leave I reflected on what a lovely afternoon we had and the whole place is so relaxing as we talked, ate, drank and savoured that view
Well worth a try 😊😊

I visited the Jack Rabbit cellar door on Sunday morning, and we were made feel like an inconvenience. How dare we come do a tasting on a Sunday morning at 11 when they are doing lunch set up. Mind you, according to their website the cellar door is open 10 am to 5 pm... 4 different staff members rushing us through a tasting, barely telling us anything about the wine or the place even when asked. Seemed they just wished we hadn't come at all, nor needed our business. Needless to say, we won't be recommending this place to anyone...

Not sure of the sizings so we ordered the bruschetta with pumpkin, pesto, tomato, goats cheese, rocket and onion jam for $22. It was one small slice of bread, hardly any pesto or other items, just a lot of very sweet jam. Still can't believe it. For another $10 I could have had four large fillets of fish!! Won't be going back.

We stopped at Jack Rabbit on our way back to Geelong after visiting the Portarlington Mussel Festival. Although the place was heaving, two hen parties and a wedding, Kate the manage quickly found us a shady table. The staff were friendly, efficient and didn't stop running! We shared a croque monsieur. Mrs M. had a glass of the excellent Jack Rabbit Sauvignon Blanc.
One small niggle - I'm so glad that we were in a hire car as I would hate to drive my own car over the corrugated, dusty and unmade road that leads from the highway into the property. I would suggest that the properties which use this access road get together and pressure the local council to surface the road... or perhaps do it themselves.

I had a great experience here while on holiday in Victoria. The quality of the food here is outstanding and you are guaranteed a great meal. I had the most amazing lentil curry and the staff were very good in accommodating my dietary requirements. Great place and great food, couldn’t ask for more.

Popped in to taste their wines, first off had to pay $5 each for tasting , don't mind that but then received about 5ml in the bottom of the old international tasting glass, after a 3 different tastes of their wines I couldn't really tell what I was tasting being such a small pour, anyway it make a laying impression, I will never be coming back or ordering their wines anywhere
Where as next door there is another cellar door Terindah Estate, where I experienced the completely opposite , decent glass, helpful advise on what I was tasting and an amazing view over the bay. They also have a cafe open 7 days ,guess where I am going next time

After waiting a couple of months, we were finally able to get a reservation in the restaurant for a Sunday lunch. In no time at all, the place was almost completely full.
After eating there, I now know why.
My husband & I had a fantastic 3 course lunch. The food is beautiful.
We tried both of their sparkling's as well as the merlot & Pinot Grigio. All were great. We then purchased a tomato relish & lemon myrtle infused olive oil from their lovely gift shop. There is also a cafe for a more relaxed setting. Both places offer great food with breath taking views. This place really has a special feel about it. All the staff were very professional. We will definitely be back.

We arrived and were faced with 2 restaurant possibilities, so we chose the right hand, smarter option. The waiter completely ignored us as we entered and waited....and waited. He passed us several times and continued to completely ignore us so we we walked out. The restaurant was less than a third full. The more casual (left side) option was wonderful. Great food, friendly service and super setting.
