Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Currently undergoing renovations there was no parking onsite and tickets were limited. The view from up high behind the goals was limited and it was not in view of a big screen.
There were plenty of food options, toilets were clean and there were lots. There was drinking water available to fill bottles and a sensory area with the option to borrow items.
We were able to park in close by streets when we arrived early and walk the short distance.

I want to lodge a review about what happened when I presented my ticket to the Peroni lounge, Saturday, 27/05/23. I was treated appallingly by CATS staff member Megan when I presented my ticket.

Megan was extremely rude and kept denying me entry, even when I showered he my valid ticket and I explained that the ticket was at a discount rate due to my membership.

I suspect that she was an extremely racist person and kept repeating that the “Peroni lounge is an expansive venue”. I told her that this was my 5th time to the Peroni lounge and I knew it was expensive, but she kept treating me like I was lying.

Only at the end of our conversation did Megan suggest we go to the Membership team, who sorted the issue very quickly and gave us our correct tickets, which was entry to the Peroni lounge.

Megan’s attitude was extemly rude and that if she was unsure about out ticket type she should have told us to contact membership ASAP and not treatus like we are lying and trying to sneak into the Peroni lounge.

Complaint has been passed on to Geelong Cats Membership team, who did not take my complaint seriously and replied that

“Megan is mature and well experienced having worked that space several times before. When presented with this situation upon entry, Megan has acted thoroughly and as directed to investigate on the spot validity of entry as much as she can and then escalate to our Membership Operations Team at Gate 13. This all took place.”

Not impressed.

Good regional sports venue for watching AFL.
Fair seating design and access to food/drink venues inside.
Disappointed about disability parking (as paid, attendant said not available) then after a slow 200 metre effort to stadium found the “disability” entry gate used by everyone. Overheard someone exclaim “this is quicker”. With physical disability obvious to all, no one showed any err to conscience.
Guess AFL inclusion policies are mostly virtue signals.

Visited on Monday 17th February, we checked out the stadium even though there wasn't a game being played. The premierships cups are always on display for you to see, can't wait for another one to be added.

A wonderful chance to experience something that not many people get to see behinds the scenes of a large sporting arena.

Loved watching the Cats beat West Coast. The Stadium is amazing. Food is a bit pricey, so brought my own coffee in. That's fine, just no alcohol allowed in. Parked at K Mart, and easy stroll over the bridge.

As a West Coast Eagles member I had the opportunity to watch a game at GMHBA Stadium. Tickets reasonably priced - great viewing ground 4.40pm start - only issue exit after game - sat in the players stand (reasonably new facility I believe Level 4) poorly designed for patrons to leave ground! PS we were thrashed by a better team on the day!

Me and my cousin decided to check out the Peroni Lounge particularly given the cold, wet conditions.

My only reservation at the time were some of the reviews from prior years saying the food was insufficient and venue was sometimes a bit crowded.

My preconceptions were completely put at ease once We got there. We received a welcome drink, there was plenty of space to lounge around and there was an endless supply of food. We were stuffed at the end of it. Great venue, great value.

Only feedback I would give is that we asked two bunches of ground staff on the day who had no idea where the Lounge was! Would also suggest some signage with directions to the lounge. Apart from that, very happy....will come again.

This is a boutique stadium in Geelong and is easy to get to from town and the v line train. Basically no such thing as a bad seat here but they haven’t got the cricket pitch right. Great sunset

Well set out. Excellent breakfast service. Nothing too much trouble. Helpful staff. Did not service during main speaker. Sound system worked a treat. Highly recommended for business breakfast functions. Parking was good as well.
