DS Skibladner is over 160 years old and provides an authentic experience of steamship traffic in the 1800s. Aboard the ship, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape of Mjosa, experience steam engine and blades in operation, admire the magnificent lounges under deck, sending postcards from the ship's own mailbox, and enjoy a good meal in 1st Plads Madsalon. Besides, we have a number of exciting events with diverse music and entertainment throughout the season.

We had an incrediblly nice journey from Eidsvoll to Hamar this August. The ship is the oldest operating steam padler in the world - operating since 1856. The ship itself is like a little museum. Make sure you explore all the available parts of the...More

This is a must. This old boat is so beautiful and majestic the way it sails on Mjosa. You can board the boat in Gjovik, Hamar or Lillehammer. Refreshment on boards.

The world's oldest preserved paddle steamer in timetabled service, with live steam engines, paddle wheels and a speed of 12 knots. The steamboat Skibladner was launched on August 2, 1856 nad have been in service since. Original and authentic athmosphere, menu is salamon and strawberries.

The worlds oldest paddlesteamer still in operation is definitely worth a visit. I took it from Gjovik, to Hamar and back. In the restaurant I enjoyed the Signature dish; Norwegian Salmon and fresh strawberries

We had a lovely time, going from Moelv to Lillehammer, and back. Depending on the weather, this is unbeatable in this area! But if the weather is bad... I wouldn't recommend it. Nothing is as gloomy as a lake without sunshine!
