Only a 1.5 hr trip from Oslo central station where I rented a car. Unfortunately it was very foggy the morning we drove so we had limited visibility of the adjacent fjord to the E16 highway. The glasswerk factory and museum were interesting. There was no tour or instruction as we were watching several of the glassblowers in the process... More

Hadeland glassverk is a nice place, with history, of how to make glass. There are several shops. There is also a very nice bakery, with the lagrest "skolebrød" i have ever seen. The rumour is also that this Bakery is haunted. This is a must stop

We had our first stop in Norway at this glassfactory. It was very nice. We loved the nice Norwegian buildings. We eat a bun at the bakery which was very tasty! We liked the show the glassworkers were giving of how they make a glasswork. The porcelain and glass they sell are expensive.

We stopped by here on our way home from a wedding. There is something for everyone here. You can buy glass work, textiles, and gourmet food. You can watch glass being blown, which is amazing. There is a petting zoo. The baker is fantastic. A definite must if you are in the Oslo area. Just be careful. It is easy... More

I love how they've kept the old wooden houses alive, even though it is with stores, but they are well kept and maintained. The old houses and the atmosphere they give is unfortunately the most positive I can say about the place. My husband and I went there to see the history of glassblowing at Hadeland, but was dissapointed when... More

We went in June and it wasn't busy on the day we went. My parents were able to blow their own glass with help from them of course. It wasn't that expensive, around $25 and most of the shops had beautiful pieces of art glass on sale in June when we went. So many buildings to see different items for... More

We visited Hadeland Glassverks as part of a tour from a cruise ship. Watching the glass-making demonstration was very interesting, but since there were many other tour groups around, it was very crowded and you couldn't really spend much time watching the craftsmen. There are playgrounds for young children, which is fantastic. The shops are fairly nice, although very geared... More
