Haraldsgata is one of Norways longest walking streets, and definitely a place to check out if the sun is shining. When the sun is shining the whole place feels more alive. A nice change of scenery from the malls at Raglamyr.

Shops are ok if you want souvenirs and basic shopping goods. Better to conti ue past the shops to view the loveley old historic buildings closer to the old church.

I am being kind by giving the main street of Haugesund a "2" rating. The buildings in the street are a mixture of the old and the appalling new, built back in the 60's or so. Whilst a few of the owners of the properties...More

Shopping is almost always a given for travellers and tourists, and Haraldsgate is the heart of Haugesund, which numerous shops and stores catering to almost every need. Lots of places to sit down and relax, have a bite to eat, and such.
