The museum has free admission and we hoped for a cool environment during the incredible heatwave. Although we are very much interested in the archeological finds, we liked the paintings better. Some really nice pictures well worth the visit.

This museum covered a variety of subject located over three floors, each showing a different aspect. From "contemporary" art to an explanation of various "livery" companies' workings and history.

Great museum that is free entry. It has various historic artefacts as well as modern art on the top floor. The building is also well worth a look around. All the displays are in French, but still very enjoyable if you can't read the boards.

Despite its relatively small size it's worth a visit even if 'arts are not your thing' make sure you go to the crypt archeological exhibition. For free you can't complain. Like many French attractions closed for 2 hours from midday
