The Discovery Centre is a world-class ecotourism facility nestled in the heart of the world’s oldest tropical rainforest. As the #1 Attraction in the Daintree it provides a wonderful introduction to this iconic world heritage destination. The spectacular Canopy Tower and Aerial Walkway allow visitors to explore every level of the forest and Audio Guides in 6 languages are a hit with overseas visitors. But it is it’s innovative Carbon Offset Project that is attracting attention! Part of every entry fees goes towards ‘saving the planet’ via its bio-sequestration scheme. The Discovery Centre is sustainable ecotourism at its best!

The discovery centre does well in exposing some of the secrets of the Daintree, including its natural history, the animals that live or have lived in it, as well as insight into the Aboriginal culture and civilisation.

This is a great spot to learn about the forest ecology with a self-guided audio tour. Boardwalks take you through all levels of the rainforest, up to the top of the canopy. Birds go nuts throughout, as is their wont in these areas. It is...More

Very helpful and friendly staff! Rainforest is amazing with a "guided" tour on an easy to follow device (like a phone) and a detailed brochure. Hubby very disappointed didn't see a Cassowary but amazing place all the same!

Thanks, our staff appreciate your review. Cassowaries are hard to spot, have a look on our Facebook page for the most recent sighting of a dad and chick having a dip in the creek! Happy holidays
