The Discovery Centre is a world-class ecotourism facility nestled in the heart of the world’s oldest tropical rainforest. As the #1 Attraction in the Daintree it provides a wonderful introduction to this iconic world heritage destination. The spectacular Canopy Tower and Aerial Walkway allow visitors to explore every level of the forest and Audio Guides in 6 languages are a hit with overseas visitors. But it is it’s innovative Carbon Offset Project that is attracting attention! Part of every entry fees goes towards ‘saving the planet’ via its bio-sequestration scheme. The Discovery Centre is sustainable ecotourism at its best!

A lovely place to get away from it all. It's very peaceful in the rainforest, with easy walks on boardwalks. It has a great platform viewing area, which involves three levels of stairs, but it isn't necessary to go up. If you're lucky you might...More

While the section of rainforest is pristine and the walkways easily accessible we found the $25 admission charge each was a bit steep. Dont worry about the audio devices either...WAY too much info. We stopped using them after point 2 and the cord was itchy...More

Sound silly to say too much information but listening to so many information speeches made me feel that I was actually missing just being in the rainforest and looking at the surroundings. Stopped using the audio guide fairly early on. Easy paths, good for families
