About
The Discovery Centre is a world-class ecotourism facility nestled in the heart of the world’s oldest tropical rainforest. As the #1 Attraction in the Daintree it provides a wonderful introduction to this iconic World Heritage destination. The spectacular Canopy Tower and Aerial Walkway, Cassowary Circuit, Bushtucker Trail and Jurassic Forest allow visitors to explore every level, from the forest floor to the top of the canopy. Entry includes a 68 page Guide book and Audio Guides in 8 languages, a childrens and Indigenous Audio, are a hit with all visitors. But it is it’s innovative Carbon Offset Project that is attracting attention! Part of every entry fees goes towards ‘saving the planet’ via its bio-sequestration scheme. The Discovery Centre is sustainable ecotourism at its best!

A must do up in the Daintree / Cape Tribulation
Sep. 2021
The Daintree Discovery centre is a must do in the Cape Tribulation area. This is a world class information centre with beautiful boardwalks through the rainforest, a wonderful lookout over the canopy, and excellent information.

An enjoyable rainforest walk
Oct. 2021
The walkways through the rainforest are well laid out and easy to walk along. You can go at your own pace and there are audio stops along the walk if you are interested in them. The canopy tower gives further views across the rainforest. There is a creek running through the area which you see at different points along the walk. There are dinosaur exhibits for the children to enjoy with information about each one. There are a few reptiles to look at as well and if you are lucky you may spot a turtle or fish in the creek that you can look down on whilst relaxing in the cafe with refreshments. The staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

Great Place to Start Your Daintree Trip
Sep. 2021
The Discovery Centre was a good place to start our trip into the Daintree. The guide book alone is worth the entry price and the audio tour is very informative and provides a great background before heading further into the Daintree. The tower was a good way to see the different stages of the rainforest and the elevated walkway also provided a different perspective. The staff were very helpful and we would recommend this centre.

Underwhelming
Sep. 2021
My wife and I were heading north to Cape Trib Horse Rides for our 2:30pm booking. We had a couple of hours to kill so decided to stop by at the Daintree Discovery Centre. Admission was $37 per person. We were finished within an hour. Yes there were some interesting sights, information and the tower. However, we did find it underwhelming. I later learned that there are free walking track in the vicinity. I know from reading the reviews that many people love this place, so perhaps it depends on your personal expectations.

Absolute must-do!
Jun. 2021
Perfect way to discover and learn about the Daintree forest. The audio-guide is really really good (lots of information but all very accessible). The paths are beautiful and you can see the forest on so many different levels (ground, canopy, etc). Don't hesitate, visit the centre!

Just do it!

Brilliantly curated, perfect audio commentary, in tune with the natural environment and very interesting and educational. A perfect way to understand and appreciate the history, culture and ecological significance of the rainforest. Not only this one, but all rainforests. It was well worth the price of admission to know our dollars are helping to preserve the forest and support the traditional owners in it, as well as to assist scientists in understanding how the forest works.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Clean cafe and amenities. Even the souvenirs were pretty classy!

Very Educational
Enjoyed every bit of it. You get it slightly cheaper if you book a family pass. Ticket is a bit expensive. But I enjoyed it. Very educational for children. Will take more than 3 hours if you want your children to read, listen to the given recordings and learn. Don’t hurry through it.

Look up while you there!

It was a great experience for everybody in our group. Jurassic walk is good, the details are great. The high light I found was laying down on the little bench and watch up to the tree tops just before you walk out. The audio tour is easy to understand and the booklet too.
