It was great fun watching young people enjoying themselves at this venue. I’m really not sure how many there were but after counting the number of school buses in the lot my best gestimate would be at least 1,300 to 1,500 kids of various ages.

We did not stay at the hotel but went sliding and did the Bora water park. We had a great time, expectations must be managed when there are large crowds, we went during our March break which was the same as Quebec's. That being said we still had a lot of fun. The staff were friendly and on top of it all. I would

We recently took a day trip to go to Hotel De Glace, we expected this trip to take around an hour and a half max. HOWEVER this 'short' day trip took us many hours as we were disorientated within the resort. The directions made no sense and i can only imagine this is because the instuctions were given by their child staff. (Genuinly no one over the age of 14 was working on this day...even in the kitchen) On the note of the kitchen.. we were excited to try some Polineesian food, however to be met with bad hot dogs and fries ..:/ also confused as to why they charged ticket entry by height...maybe they hire minors as they pay by height too... We are giving this experience a 2 because the Hotel De Glace was incredible and outshined the dissapointments seen in the rest of the resort.

During our visit, one employee screamed out "pick up your tubes in the storage area GOD DAMN IT". There were numerous tubes there already. For a family place, vulgar language not it's place. Line ups for tow rope up, well employees would let people cut ahead, while others waited 10-15 minutes to go up. Waste of time and money

Rooms were quite spacious and clean for the most part except for one day we had to bring our garbage out because it wasn't changed, not a big deal but a family of four eating can create a bit of trash lol. They supplied a keurig machine with tea, coffee and even hot chocolate in the room. In order to get water there is a filtered water fountain in the hallway so bring a refillable water bottle as well because water is expensive from the vending machines. Food is a bit expensive but no more than other places 10 dollars for burger and fries same as mcdonalds nowadays. There are several restaurants in the hotel sports bar was good for a drink but food is expensive for what you get. There is a fancy steak place that I would not recommend, if you want a nice dinner drive into quebec its only 20 min. Another restaurant is the safari that we tried the rotisserie chicken wasn't too bad actually its ok for one meal but again there is a st hubert about 10min drive so you could easily go there. Also what we did was drive into town and bought subway as well and brought it back for a meal while we were out and stored it in the mini fridge. The resort could use more healthy options especially for us we stayed 5 nights so eating deep fried food wasn't gonna happen. If you go for more than three days check out the VVIP pass gives you unlimited access to both parks and Ice Hotel. The only thing is that you can only do the tubing in the day and water park at night. That is what we did and found it very good no line ups at either park. Bora Water Park - this park is pretty nice with a wave pool and a wavy lazy river that has a fun theme to it. There are many water slides for all ages I have a 9 yr old and 15yr old they were both entertained. Also they have a surfing simulator that was awesome if its on your bucket list to try the staff here will teach you how to surf and some fun tricks. Tubing Park - All I can say wow with 35 runs they have some high speed slopes and slow ones again a little something for everyone. We done the whole hill nothing too crazy here so don't worry its a great time! Layer Up for this one we had snowpants, and at least two layers plus bring ski goggles you will enjoy more if you can see lol. Hotel de Glace - I have been wanting to sleep in this hotel for a long time and I must say it was magical the whole family loved it! We never found it cold once just make sure you don't wear too much cloths to bed and follow the trainers instructions closely for an enjoyable night. Thermal Underwear that is dry, clean undies and a fresh pair of socks. Have a drink at the ice bar and slide down the slide it really was a great bonding experience with the family lots of memories for sure. There are hot tubs and saunas to enjoy outside before going to bed as well i do recommend that. Thanks ValCartier for the awesome family winter getaway we will be back!
