Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Its a fish farm - you will catch a fish and pay a reasonable price per kg. If you don't want to fish they sell fresh trout.

We had a lovely morning at the trout farm today. It was the first time grandson had been fishing. He was trilled to catch the first trout of the day! Then two more. We caught 6 in total and various sizes. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us!The fish were cleaned and packed in ice for our trip home. Will happily head back to fish again next holidays.

A lovely spot in Noojee to try your hand at fishing. There are a number of ponds to fish and you’ll be guided by the staff which ones to use. While we were there a couple had caught 5 pretty quickly. As someone who used to fly fish, trout farms are renowned for the fish to be easy to catch - which is kind of the point.
I could see rainbow trout but not sure if there was brown trout as well.
Once you’ve caught t your fish you take them inside and if you want, have them killed then filleted and prepared for you.
There is also smoked trout already for you to purchase and take home.
Kind of wheelchair accessible but could be hard on the wet grass. Definitely kid friendly. Plenty of parking on site. Noojee township not far away for a cuppa afterwards.

Always drop in when in area to purchase delicious freshly smoked trout, which is about half price compared to retail shops.
For enthusiasts there is the option to catching the trout in the various ponds, which are then cleaned if requested. Great activity for children with a guaranteed catch. BBQ facilities also available.

Fantastic to get a new young person interested in fishing. My 6yr old granddaughter screamed with fear on her first fish and by the 3rd she was hooked and wanted to continue. Only problem was the cost would become very expensive after 3 or more. Shame for new anglers they don't have a catch and release pond.

This place was great. Awesome experience catching your own trout. Took four fish home and had the best fresh dinner.
Can’t wait to bring the kids here again. So much fun.

Very much a working trout farm with a side for retail that opens at weekends it seems but advertises greater hours. Not flash by any means but decent trout products at reasonable prices. Took the grandkids for a fish which was easy and close to the shop

We didn’t pick up a rod. Instead, we watched others try to hook a fish.
The weather was not very friendly so we went into the shop to have a look. We purchased a couple of smoked trout and shared them that night with friends. Delicious! And so well priced!

We were quite excited to pass by here and pick up a smoked trout to take home for dinner. We were there at 2:00pm on a Monday. Unfortunately as we drove up the gates were shut and the sign said "Closed". It is only open on weekends the sign said. We drove off quite disappointed. We didn't want to fish, just to buy. Their website says they are open for sales 7 days a week. Maybe we misread the "Closed" sign - or maybe they need a "Farm sales here" open section. Don't get caught out. Plan your trip on a weekend

What a delightful family experience. Everyone can catch a fish, have it cleaned for them and take it home to enjoy. We found numerous nationalities enjoying the experience at the trout farm. It seemed to heighten the inclusivity that is the true Australian spirit. Pleasantries flowed between people who were seeing one another for the first time. We need more of this, aussie, aussie, aussie!!!
