Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a lovely morning at the trout farm today. It was the first time grandson had been fishing. He was trilled to catch the first trout of the day! Then two more. We caught 6 in total and various sizes. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us!The fish were cleaned and packed in ice for our trip home. Will happily head back to fish again next holidays.

I have frequented the Noojee trout farm for over 15 years and have noticed stunning improvements of the facility both in terms of the number of fish ponds, bredth of products and food processing areas. Whilst I have taken young friends and family members there to fish in the past, I now attend the trout farm just to buy ultra freshly caught trout - which taste fab on the BBQ or briefly grilled with a little butter inside tin foil .Their smoked trout products and dip are also excellent.

We stopped at the Alpine Trout Farm on our way to the Trestle Bridge, there are three ponds to choose from with different type of trout (at different costs). They provide rods and fish feed, it's free to try. When you catch something, you can't throw it back and you pay per kg. They will clean the fish for you and put some ice in the bag to keep it fresh throughout the day. We ended up cooking ours that night on the electric BBQ at our B&B; delicious! As an indication, we caught two fish and they cost us $14.

Located on the main road into Noojee, from the freeway at Robin Hood, the farm is about three miles on the Melbourne side of Noojee. Both trout and salmon are available and can be fished by those with the time and patience, or freshly caught for you by the experienced staff. Excellent product at a great price.

So much fun to grab a rod and catch dinner for tea. They will clean and gut your catch very quickly. The shouts of excitement by the children was a joy to hear. The prices were great too! Don't miss it!

Its a fish farm - you will catch a fish and pay a reasonable price per kg. If you don't want to fish they sell fresh trout.

After going out of our way as we were travelling on a Monday and fully aware we could not go fishing but arrived around lunch time to find farm closed. Couldn't even buy anything. What a waste of our time. Really disappointed after all the good reviews.

We drove down to Noojee Alpine Trout Farm, just for the dip! It is the most beautiful and tasty dip that you can buy.
