Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited here just after the storms and the creeks and rivers were running freely. A great walk to get the heart pumping, albeit only 1.5km round trip, but steep on the way out. The sink holes at the end of the 100 mtrs of underground creek are interesting with the holes just plummeting into the earth, and the sound of the creek below. Amazing 40 mtr high gums. Spent about one hour here.

Shhhh .. can you hear them? The unicorns? The perytons? The other mythical creatures? It's stunning to wander through the park and if you saw something mythical... it might make sense. Surely somewhere this beautiful should be the home to something special?

I was mesmerised by the beauty before I even entered the rainforest area. Beware though, you are given a choice of two paths... one is undulating and one is steep. It turns out that if you follow the loop you will get to experience both. So this area is for fit individuals... and while I don't fit that profile, I am so glad I pushed myself through the hike. Initially your breath will be caught by the sheer beauty of the mountain ash trees rising above you as fern trees surround it.

Once the adventure starts ... you can hardly go back. So I continued to the creek and crossed a quaint little bridge. There are granite rocks at the bottom that they call The Skinks. Individuals have been visiting this park since 1914 and I can see why... apparently the river runs underground for one hundred metres ... the split rocks... the moss covered boulders... I truly believe this is somewhere very special.

We came to a fork and chose the steep path down to the gully, it was a very steep and rather tiring walk, not that long, and seemed to end up back at the same fork. The scenery is at its best at the bottom. Great to do for some exercise and if you have time around this area. Nice forest nature walk but there are more scenic walks not too far off if you are rushing through.

I have been going to Glen Nayook over many years. It is much loved and a favourite place for our family to visit whenever we are in the area. it is particularly special on a very hot day. The fern gullies and the mountain ash provide a cool shelter to the track which follows the winding Tarago river.
The car parking area gives no indication of the joys the reserve holds. In recent years the paths have been upgraded and viewing areas have been established, but it is a largely untouched and very Australian rainforest. with some great boulders.
If you do visit make it your mission to find and remove blackberry seedlings (being sure to take them out of the park) . The rangers will love you!

An easy spot to get to, the car park is ample and it takes you straight onto the walking track. The walk has 2 options, lots of steps and not as many but I found each side easy enough and shouldn't be an issue for most people unless there are physical issues with walking a dirt track.
