Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Did the 3 hour ride with Tarryn as my guide. Great terrain for riding and was happy with the ride. Saw a couple of snakes along the way which was a bonus.

I can’t believe the state of the horses feet. The poor horses have completely shut down and are just working hours with no rest. Majority of the horses hoofs are split badly (all the way to the coronet) I can’t believe they aren’t all lame. The workers are not very friendly and not helpful. They seem to have no knowledge of the local area and no conversation unless we asked them questions and then it was like pulling teeth. The helmet shed was dirty and helmets weren’t sterilised between groups.

I hope they find the number of a good farrier soon.
We won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend any one rides these poor animals.

It's a shame this app doesn't give a good rating, because that's what I would give for this review.
Nice drive into Labertouche, the venue is nothing flash, an old shipping container or similar for the office and bathrooms were serviceable.
That's probably as bad as it gets as the main purpose here was the horse tour. We did the 2 hour ride through the Bunyip State Forest and it was very pleasant. Quiet, lush with some good inclines, declines and a chance canter if you are feeling comfortable enough.
The girls were quite friendly and the horses were fantastic. Even for the inexperienced, you don't have to intervene much, as these horses have it down pat!
The only thing I could recommend is maybe a chance to get off your horse and stretch (at the lookout?) and for the staff to engage or encourage some conversation to make the group united?
Overall recommended. 😊

Despite some initial confusion in finding the yard empty and wondering if we'd come to the right place, we didn't have to wait long before we saw the horses being led in from the fields. We were lucky enough to be the only ones on the trail ride (my sister and I) so it was like a private ride! The horses were forward going and safe and while I wouldn't have classed it as a ride for experienced riders it was very enjoyable, with a friendly guide. I'll be back.

Booking was a little difficult however the location is fabulous. Horses are well looked after and all very responsive. The girls who came out with us were helpful. Would definitely return!

The horses are in good health and the price is cheap. Besides this, the girl that took us on the tour was very quiet and couldn't get rid of us quick enough when we finished the tour. When we arrived she started explaining the basic rules when we were 15 ft away and couldn't even hear her. i tried to get close but she just kept talking. As soon as we got back i tried to have one last look at the horses and she immediately said "have a nice weekend" meaning that she wanted us to leave. the track is very basic and there are not nice views whatsoever. the horses are kept in a filthy space where there are just a couple of rusty containers. one of the perks is the trot which is pretty cool, but it lasted less than a minute.
It's a good experience if you don't want to spend much i guess, but there are no cafes around so you can't really have a good day out. you just go there, go on the horses, "appreciate" the lack of infrastructures and customer service, and then go home.

A great experience and good place to visit for a first timer. Beautiful horses and great staff. They guide you well and teach you the basics of horse riding. Absolutely loved the nice walk through the bushes and the little trott at the end. There is a great restaurant/winery called gypsey creek about 5 minutes away.

My sister was given a voucher for her birthday for a 1 hour trail ride and we decided to cash it in this afternoon - would highly recommend this for a present for anybody! We had great weather and were paired with fantastic, calm and well-mannered horses. Our leaders were Sage and Taryn and they were super professional and helpful before and during the ride. Thanks for the day guys, my sister and I had a fantastic time!

We've never been horse riding as a family. Forecast was patchy rain. We almost bailed out but they had rain coats we could borrow. So off we went. Spectacular views, fun trails, relaxing and fun time with the family. We had 2 hours worth of chatter. Horses were clean and well maintained. They have basic facilities like toilets and sheds. Staff were all friendly. They gave us some photo opportunities.
If you are not going for the winery tour - bring your food and drinks...and bring cash or voucher for the ride.
It rained a lot, we all got dirty and our bums were sore but the fun and adventure we had supersedes all that.
Don't expect luxury. I definitely recommend.

Experienced, intermediate or your first time up-close and personal, Ryders Horse Riding staff support you all the way. Magnificent scenery, friendly, dedicated and professional staff who truly care about their horses health and wellbeing. Instructions and riding tips are communicated clearly and regularly and I recommend accepting the fly nets on offer. Have a hearty breakfast, use the bathrooms, have drinks and snacks available on your return and don't forget to capture the experience.
