Visited Monk Park Farm at half term with another adult, a 4 year old and a baby. It was Halloween weekend and there were pumpkins galore festooned about the carpark - a free one per child. The decorations were terrific and there was plenty to occupy children. A themed ‘ghost trail’ had been laid along the Woodland walk with clues at various points spelling out a spooky word. Even the food was Halloween themed and the staff and many of the children were in suitable fancy dress. All areas are accessible with a buggy. It was a great afternoon out and we shall be returning…

We visited last year in October and enjoyed our time here, so we returned again this October under the ownership and it was even better. The effort put in to the Halloween experience was superb. I loved the little touches like bottle feeding the goats, the Halloween trail, the barrel ride and the future plans sounds really exciting (just hope it doesn’t go too commercialised). The restaurant is fair and well organised, especially given how busy the venue was. All staff knew what they were doing, parking was well organised and the petting area was good fun and interactive. There’s plenty for toddler / young children to do.

We attended Monk Park Farm in a party of 5 adults and 3 children (aged 6, 2 and 8 months) on Saturday 30 October 2021.

All of us had a great time. The weather in the morning was cold and wet, but activities such as the pumpkin carving and petting barn were well covered.

The sun came out in the afternoon, which was great for a walk around the grounds and a good time at the playground.

It was clear that the venue had put lots of effort into the Halloween theme and it made the visit even better.

A final note, and probably the most important, is that the all the staff were very friendly and took an active interest in making sure the children were having a good time.

We will certainly be back soon.

What a super day we have enjoyed. Our two daughters with special needs, enjoyed the blustery walk around, looking at the animals. In the petting barn the animals were incredibly tame and beautifully cared for. Seeing the Alpaca Mum with her baby was touching.
We chose perfect pumpkins and enjoyed hollowing out, carving and painting.
Well worth the money, with a play in the huge sand pit at the end. Delicious, Halloween themed cake and tea in the cafe too. A super place to visit.
So much fun and freedom for all the children to enjoy the healthy, well cared for, happy animals and the play areas.
Highly recommend a visit. Thank you Monk Park Farm. Looking forward to Christmas!!!

We bottle fed the baby goats which was a lovely experience.
The whole venue was so well decorated for Halloween so much effort has gone into it! enjoyed by adults and children. Fun playground and Lovely food in the cafe.

The new owners at Monk Park Farm have made a huge difference. The place is so clean and the animals well looked after. There is still plenty to see and do but the whole site has much more or a well managed feel than previously. I know there are more plans to expand the facilities and I can't wait to go back with my grandchildren. Highly recommended for a family day out.

We came here as a family & we really enjoyed it, my children with additional needs loved been able to feed & pet the animals, my daughter even fed a kid it’s bottle of milk. There biggest hit had to be the sand pit.

First time visiting and we had a lovely time.. Lots of animals to see and plenty to do. Our 4 year old granddaughter really enjoyed the petting barn and feeding the baby goats and also the barrel ride. Nice picnic and play area families (another hit with small person!). The admission price was good value for money we felt (£28 for family of 4). The only let down was the cafe where we found the food unappetising and overpriced but we would just take a picnic next time.
Would recommend this as a great family day out for animal lovers - just give the cafe a miss

First time we’ve visited Monk Park Farm and we were pleasantly surprised (after reading some reviews) to see that the areas were clean and well looked after. The petting barn was lovely and our daughter really enjoyed petting the guinea pigs (I was a little surprised at how well behaved they were all sitting in a row on a wall 😊). We all enjoyed the barrel train ride not sure the extra £2 each was necessary on top of entrance charge. We enjoyed the
Woodland walk where you get to see more of the animals. We did notice a small lake with ducks just on exiting the walk. Did think it may be safer with a fence around the edge. We only spent a few hours here and for us this was enough. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

It’s been many years since I last visited the farm (when my children were small) and I understand there are new owners. My 13 year old visited and had a thoroughly enjoyable few hours.

Good value for money and very clean. Lots of lovely animals to pet and feed with knowledgeable members of staff that we chatted to about the animals.

Covid considerations were no where to be seen though, while most of the attractions were outside it would have been reassuring to see some sanitisers and staff wearing face coverings in the enclosed cafe area.

The staff we encountered were very friendly, although there’s no denying that most of them are younger and taking advantage of a summer job - good for them!

There was varied play equipment, and plenty of outside seating. All in all an excellent day for the whole family.
