Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have been buying premium strawberries here for years occasionally picking but mostly buying them and there has been no difference in quality. Yesterday we went and BOUGHT strawberries at $22 per kilo as there was a 500gram limit per family on picking your own, well any wonder as when you buy them they are different and we could see that but didn’t think much of it. When we got home they were not fresh and we even pulled out mouldy ones. We will not stop again and will find somewhere else for our FRESH strawberries. Disappointing that this has become a money making commercial business that has lost its purpose

The boy at the counter for the pick your own strawberries would not let us use our own produce bag to avoid the single use plastic punnets, he said due to coronavirus they are controlling how much strawberries they would allow people to pick. I assured him we would pick the same volume as the punnet size but still no deal, must take plastic.
There were plenty of plastic shopping bags being given out too (thought they were banned?) and looked like loads of waste from the cafe. Shame when good venues just don't care about the environment.
While it's a lovely spot I'll avoid this venue if I can find another venue doing better.

Very small strawberry picking site, but the quality is great here.
Amazing tasting products, but also quite expensive per kilo to buy. Still a good morning/afternoon out for some chilled out time.

Absolutely fantastic day out at the strawberry fields. I really enjoyed it and so did my family! Beautiful strawberries and a very energetic, fun and exciting energy about the place. Very accommodating and friendly staff also. Can't do enough for you which my family and I really appreciated.
Much prefer to spend my money on something
outdoors, so fun and active as apposed to something indoors. A great thing to do also during the pandemic as everyone socially distances themselves as the patches are so big.
Thanks so much strawberry fields, we will definitely be back! You have customers for a life time now :)

I'm a regular visitor of the Strawberry Fields as I do enjoy visiting but some visits are really great while others can be really dismal, which is why your visit could either be a real hit or miss.

It's located just across the highway from the Ettamogah Pub off the Bruce Highway and relatively easy to find - there are signs most of the way.

PYO strawberries is a great aspect of visiting the strawberry fields and by far a huge visitor and family favourite.

Currently strawberries are $12 a kilo to PYO or $6-$8 for 'factory' seconds.

Picking your own is great fun and there is a real thrill about picking your own strawberries but again some days there have been a huge variety of fresh and juicy red strawberries to pick and on others I have come to nothing but a completely picked out patch with nothing left to pick or what is remaining are inedible. Management only open one patch a day to pick from and they won't open another patch until the other is pretty much 'picked all out' so there is a risk you can arrive and there is literally nothing to pick if you are wanting to PYO. My last visit I didn't get to pick one single strawberry as I entered an empty field and just went and brought a box of seconds from the counter.

It is best NOT to visit after it has rained or while raining as the fields turn into huge muddy mush fields and unless you have gumboots you can't walk through the strawberry fields without being totally swallowed by mud (you can't help the rain but just a warning).

Within the past year they have recently opened a restaurant and installed a children's playground. This is great as you can sit down and enjoy some nice tea/coffee with cake and treats while the kids play - but be warned, the food and drinks are not cheap here.

generally I would recommend visiting because like I said I do visit regularly because it is enjoyable but I do also have the luxury of living nearby so on a miss day I can always come back and enjoy a hit day.

To pay $18 for two small coffees and two scones was disgusting. There were some lovely big scones on the cake display but we were obviously served from the kitchen back. Two tiny scones cut in half. The most meagre scraping of jam, a tiny blob of spray cream and half an old strawberry. It was absolutely disgraceful. Avoid it!

Stingy scone, jam & cream. Very very small & quite ordinary, cut in half so stingy amount of cream & jam on smallest of scone surface, but the stingiest of all was the garnish of 1/2 of a strawberry on the side. Too stingy to add one whole strawberry. Paid way too much for this meager treat.

"Wow! I can't believe Strawberries grow in trees!"

"Pfft, going to a strawberry farm sounds like the lamest thing ever"

"I think I can live my life without ever visiting a strawberry farm and still find happiness"

These are just a few statements that you would know to be completely false if you visited the adrenalin packed Strawberry Fields in the sunshine coast. The strawberry, named after it's founder Jonathan Strawberry, is a mystical fruit that has captivated the love and lives of billions. The unique experience of visiting a farm can only really be summed up as "wine tasting meets bear wrestling", where sophisticated meets non-stop heart pumping fun. A chance to get up close and personal with a legendary fruit.

From the moment you arrive you can sense that there is something special about the place. While we didn't engage in the unpaid manual labour, we still enjoyed the chance to sample some of the local product. The taste is something that I could only describe as, well, strawberry flavoured.

10/10. Would recommend for a first date activity and/or for a group of youth aged 18-25 who are looking for the next big movement in the hipster community.
