For ten euros (plus any parking money) you will have access to 6 routes (numbered from 1 to 6). I recommend routes 1 to 4 (which are those that give a better view of the waterfall from all possible sides). The other trails stray a bit from the waterfall and are mainly isolated treks. I strongly suggest to bring a waterproof cape but, if you forgot it, it will be possible to buy one at the shop near the lake. I suggest the visit to the lovers' balcony, but it's better to book it before.

This has probably been one of the more exciting visits I have done in a long time. Try to avoid peak season because you will be overrun by holiday makers (like yourself) and may miss the charm and beauty of the falls. To be man made the falls are very impressive and the water is so forceful but full of beauty. In the heat of summer the walk through stages 2 and 3 are a welcome shower :) unless you have electronic equipment don't bother with a rain pancho...go and get wet!!! its fun!!!

The falls can be turned on and off in order for hydroelectric power to be generated. The falls are not very impressive when they are turned off [small amount of water flows]. Check their website for the times that the falls will be turned on. Be there ahead of time and purchase the 1 euro poncho from the ticket office. Others selling ponchos charge more as you get closer and closer to the falls. Lots of water vapor and mists ends up in the air so you are going to get wet.

Nice to see if you in the area but nothing really stunning. Lots of people (even in September), mostly wearing masks so you don't not feel uncomfortable during the covid times. We parked car at the top, took a walk down the hill and came back by bus. The best views are at the bottom, for me it doesn't make sense to do the whole path especially while there are so many people around and the paths are narrow. Not wanting to go back through the crowd we opted for the bus (2 euros) and it wasn't easy - first you have to figure out that you have to buy a ticket at the ticket office then go to buy the ticket a the same ticket office as the entrance tickets (for us it was 15 mins wait), then you have to go to the bus stop (5 mins walk) wait for the bus - there's only 1 bus every 30 mins and one bus takes about 30-40 people per course so it is not uncommon to wait 1 or more hours for the ride and many don't respect the queue.

Too expensive for a waterfall which is even artificialy made. Plus you have to pay the nearby parking. The better and easier walk is from the parking at Marmore. There are a lot of people on the observing spot when the water starts to fall - check out the scedule! Waterfall is small at the beginning and after 10 minutis much more impressive. But just another waterfall with too many people around

Beautiful day between nature and fun.
The waterfall is a spectacle and I highly recommend also following route two which is located near the lower viewpoint. This route allows you to pass really close to the waterfall.
We went with our daughter and the trip is doable for her too. If the children don't feel like walking, the entrance is valid for both viewpoints so it is also possible to see one take the car and see a second one.
Furthermore, to brighten up the day there are activities for the little ones. We participated in the fantasy and I congratulate the nefrio (elf) who was able to entertain the children with the traveling story in the woods.
For the organization I suggest modernizing the structures such as access to the waterfalls and the refreshment area

During Covid-time
No one controles if people waer a mask, eating aerea open, people not waering a mask. (you pass people at 10cm), after complaining only blabla answer. Too many people, you can‘t enjoy at all.
Too dangerous to go there. Stay at home or spend the money on a pizza. Trust me.

First, let me state that if you are interested in Roman feats of wonder, then by all means visit the Falls. But, if you are seeking a beautiful park and falls area, skip this tourist trap.
There are two parts to the Falls Preserve. The Superiore, or top, is where you can walk down a narrow pathway with stairs to a viewpoint, albeit small area, for a photo. You can't really see much else because of the spray mist. I would not recommend doing this if COVID is over and there are a lot of tourists there. I can't even imagine how long it would take just to traverse this small path for a photo op with alot of people there. As it is now, you can walk down a steep path/stairs to the bottom area, but because of COVID, it is now one way. Therefore, you must either be picked up or walk quite a ways up a different steep trail to get back to the top.
I drove to the Inferiore area {it's part of the same ticket}. It is challenging to find, because once you leave Marmore there are no signs. Follow your GPS and you will eventually get there, down a steep winding road. I kept thinking I missed it because you feel like you are driving away from the Falls.
The Inferiore area offered a nice view looking up at the Falls, and a pretty, forested backdrop. There are some trails that go back into the woods but I didn't venture back there. The main area is again, very touristy and designed to accommodate a lot of cars and buses, so I can only imagine what this would be like sans Covid.
And for what? As far as waterfalls go, it's ok but not amazing by any means. And, as someone else pointed out, if you go between 1-4pm, it will only be a trickle. To be fair, it takes a while for it to drop down, I'd say by 1:45 it was significantly lower with no spray and some dry rocks exposed.
So, considering it took me almost two hours to get there from Orvieto, with construction delays, and then almost two hours back.......the drive was beautiful, but the destination was a disappointment. Spend your time going somewhere else in the area, and save your Falls experience for Niagra or similar.

The bus trip was very scenic. We arrived in the tiny town and checked the return bus timetable. The falls are a short walk from bus stop. When we arrived, we learnt that the opening hours of falls meant we would not be able to catch a bus back so we did not see the falls. The people in the cafe and shop were very helpful and friendly. Make sure you check the water release times, not just opening hours. Double check websites for times as the site we looked at, did not match the actual times.

We were lucky, or maybe more accurately well prepared. We visited the falls in late May in the afternoon. Even though we chose the less popular top Belvedere there were still acres and acres of car and coach parking. However, for us, there were only six other cars. In fact the place looked closed. Thus we had the place almost to ourselves: no queues for the best photographic spots or the toilets. Although expensive the experience was worth it. Leaving my wife at the top I made my way down to the Lower Belvedere. Here the experience was less exhilarating; bus loads of tourists trudging around the one way paths to the various viewpoints. Vorsicht! If you choose this option you will get soaked!

L’autobus E621 che riporta al centro di Terni fino a che ora serale passa e ferma alla fermata “Tiro a segno” presso la biglietteria al Belvedere inferiore ? Grazie.

mi dispiace, non so in quanto utilizzo l’auto (10min)
