The falls were easier to get to than I had thought. We actually stayed in the small village by the falls, not wanting to find a place in Thunder Bay. We had a very nice evening- dinner in the town and the we went to...More

We decided to hike the portage route (approx 1.6 kms) and found the trail to little falls. Approx 3.5 kms round trip. Make sure you have appropriate footwear - this path is quite rough and hilly, but worth it.

It's Autumn now and leaves are beginning to fall. Those warm colors of leaves are everywhere ! The falls are larger than I expected. And there are lovely landings for people to view the fall colors!

This is a beautiful spot with excellent views of the falls. Easy to get to, lots of parking. You have to buy a permit in order to park. A must see on the Trans Canada Highway. According to the web site: the 40 metre high...More

As per the reviews, many people make this a quick stop where they wander the boardwalk to view the falls. We stayed a little longer, taking time to also walk the mountain portage loop. Other options include bringing a picnic lunch and visiting their little...More

There is a kiosk right at the entrance to the parking lot that accepts credit cards. But it doesn't seem to be the most reliable piece of equipment, so you may have to go inside the building.

We were there in the afternoon. If the Webb site does not tell you it is open all of the time to see. It is an open trail system. It s only the ranger office and gift shops that have restrictions on their hours.

No.there is no bus to the falls. I would suggest renting a car for they day, then you can visit other loCal sites.
