Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We don’t think we have visited a museum with so many items on display!
The site of the museum is very large. What we are unsure about is the entrance fee…we were told that it was 200 THB each but no ticket was issued and when we asked about them, all we received was a smile.
You will certainly need time to see everything as it really is a social history of all things Thai plus exhibits from outside Thailand which were used in the country.
It would take too long to list everything! There’s is an amazing collection of bank notes and Thai medicines. Sewing machines, old radios, TVs, kitchen ware, old motorbikes etc etc.
Some areas would certainly interest children.
There’s plenty of car parking and toilets are available. Most of the exhibits are under cover in several buildings so even on a wet day, visiting would be possible.
Recommended.

Here is a must visit for 7years plus. My family came across it by accident. Not advertised or in tourist material. It is a privately owned museum of culture; primarily Thai but much of western interest as well. 80 baht entery and we spent nearly 2 hours here. Our 7yr old son loved it due to Dinosaur fossils military section and all those everyday things from the 50's 60's 70's that grandparents too for granted but now museum pieces.

Wow wow wow
Something like 9 huge buildings with a huge fascinating collection of artefacts, curios, fossils, coins, tools, vehicles, antiques and even a light plane (far too much to list) - all under cover and well displayed in buildings that will amaze - there are enormous catfish that can be fed too
A must do - we will definitely revisit on our next holiday and factor in more time to explore - situated a short drive from Koh Samet Viewpoint
There is also a small gift shop and cool drinks available
Many thanks
