I'd first been years ago, but the gardens have matured significantly in that time. In addition to the life-changing work achieved here in terms of sustainability of farming methods, raising of money and awareness, educating local people, and weaning farmers off opium production and onto coffee production, it's also beautiful! If only this was how the world always was.

When visiting the region of Mae Sai, Golden Triangle, Doi Mae Salong, Doi Tung....the "Mae Fah Luang Garden" is really A MUST TO VISIT ! Located in a valley and on both uphills this garden is really a sweet caress for the eyes! I was impressed by looking at the intense colours of the flowers, by smelling their perfume, by... More

Absolutely beautiful site. I'm not a big garden visitor but this site blew me away. Longwood gardens in Delaware & the National botanical gardens in Washington DC are my only real comparison but Mae Fah is like something out of a fictional movie. You have to visit to believe it. The drive up & down is not for the faint... More

We travelled from Tha Ton and incorporated a stop at Mae Salong on the way. These gardens were beautiful. We had wonderful weather, sunny but not hot and blue skies. Could have spent longer here. very enjoyable. You can pay to just visit the garden or a joint ticket to see the palace which was the summer residence of the... More

It was a foggy day. I arrived early in the morning. There was a mysterious atmosphere. Visibility was limited. The narrow paths were lost among the trees and bushes. Suddenly a fantastic kind of flowers. I was shocked.

We had a lovely walk at the Mae Fah Luang Garden, up the hill to Doi Tung. We had a guide with us who brought us here. Well kept gardens, beautiful surroundings. Our family had an enjoyable stroll.

The gardens are absolutely stunning. Not overly massive but to truly enjoy them you want at least an hour in the garden alone.
