3 of us came on a bike. It was a beautiful ride to the top on bikes. With little expectations(we wouldn't expect to see a grandeur wat on top of a hill), we arrived and parked just at the foot hill below the wat as...More

For us there was no view as the haze was too thick, but the temple was elegant and in use. The fixtures at the top of the temple (Chofa) were the first we have seen with an elephant embedded into them. The steps to the...More

Although it is a steep drive to find this temple it is worth it. I suggest having a driver take you up and that way you can enjoy the scenery. This is a beautiful place and take your time to walk around the grounds.

My driver suggested I come up here and I am so glad we did. You can walk up the stairs and then ring all the bells.

It's quite a drive up a mountain but so worth the trek. The energy there is intense and healing. The famous bone is said to be resting inside one of the chedis behind the temple.

The temple is beautiful. Stepping inside made me feel calm and peaceful. People there are kind and helpful. One of the 'must' go places in the city.

The bells all along the stairway is quite nice and makes for a nice song. A small temple, but really special and worth the drive up to the top. If you have the energy take the stairs up as it is quite special.

Wat Pra That Doi Tung is a temple near the summit of Doi Tung. It is a little hard to find and the last kilometer especially is very steep even in a car. I did find the temple rather charming although small and all in...More
