Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came here for lunch and the views, and it wasn't bad at all.
Good views, mostly friendly people, pretty decent restaurant where we had lunch, and mostly reasonable prices. They allowed us to roam the entire place without supervision or requiring an entrance fee, which is great.
Only issue was the language barrier, which is a common problem through much of Thailand.
Probably worth a visit.

Very nice opportunity to taste in particular oolong tea grown on the hills. Very informative tea tasting. Excellent tea from my perspective. Nice stop for some nice photos of the tea plantation

It is located in Mae Salong area, up to the hill. It is very good to have photo here, they provide some prop for the good taking photo. But I like to taste variety of tea types in the shop than running around in the sun for taking photos..

When you enter the store here you will be greeted by an extremely knowledgable and friendly woman who will seat you then offer a very wide variety of teas for sipping.
We bought over six different kinds and will enjoy them for months since the leaves Are able to be used for up to six times.

We took the long trek up to this “original” plantation, choosing it over Choui Fong as i’d read the latter was designed just for tourists. However, there is very very little to do in this place. There isn’t anyone to demonstrate or talk you through the tea process, only staff to give you some tea to taste (very expensive to purchase). No one speaks English so we struggled hugely with asking questions, and we gave up on our meal at the restaurant at the top of the plantation as no one spoke a word of English so we couldn’t ask questions about allergies. It was really quite painful, and I think overall this place needs an update to accommodate visitors where they can learn better about the tea manufacturing process and the history of this plantation. We ended up driving to Choui Fong and were a lot more satisfied with the service.

Nicely maintained tea plantation. There was nobody working in the fields when I was there, much to my disappointment. Tea shops are available there too but I prefer visiting the smaller tea shops up in the village. Great view.

We drive into the mountains with our grab driver and planned a trip to 101 and a different drive back. We had a great few hours driving through the less explored hills and saw amazing vistas before arriving at 101. There are two places. Its best to go to the factory and do pickings. We did a tasting of 4 types of teas and ended up purchasing all of them. We were free to walk the beautiful gardens.
Take a Thai interpreter so you can get the most out of this trip. You don’t have to go with an organised tour, we had a great time.

Wander through the plantation and see how they harvest tea leaves. If you time it right the pickers will be out in the field working.
After the groves wander up for a tea tasting of several popular local products, all of which just happen to be for sale if you choose.

Visited this tea plantation way up in the hills. We had a driver which I was glad of because it is a long twisty journey up there. Great setting and very casual. You can wander amongst the tea plants and get up real close and personal. Had a tea tasting afterwards which was vey enlightening. We were the only people there so got the undivided attention of the lady doing the tea tasting. We sampled several teas and she explained the differences. No pressure to buy but we did as the tea was very nice. Interesting short visit if you are in the area.
