Very good overview of the work and life of René Lalique. Mostly original glasswork. There is even the possibility to buy your own glasses.

I was fortunate enough to get a guided tour of the Museum which captures Rene Lalique's rise to fame in Art Nouveau and later in Art Deco, with his specialist and unique jewellery, perfume glassware and decorative glassware and crystal through to the present-day Lalique S.A. creations via his son Marc and daughter Susanne and granddaughter Marie-Claude. Excellent exhibits of... More

Anyone interested in beautiful design should visit the museum. The permanent collection traces the history of Rene Lalique's unique designs in jewelry, perfume bottles and of course glassware. Samples of his work are laid out in chronological order along with a description of each era, continuing with his son Marc, who took over the business. At the end of the... More

A delight for anyone who enjoys artistic glasswork by a master designer. The museum is well laid out, and the audio/video guide is well worth the extra money, to explain the items you are looking at. The film at the end is very helpful in understanding the techniques of crafting glass. The museum shop provides fascinating books in various languages... More

The museum gives a good picture of René Lalique's life and work and of the Lalique heritage. Good information in French, German and English. Some labels are only in French but most information is available in all three languages. Lots of pretty crystal and nice surroundings (which would be even better in warm weather) Recommended.

The museum is modern and does an excellent job of presenting this fine collection of René Lalique's work. Enamels, perfume bottles, radiator mascots and sketches. The video displayed on the wall near the exit is interesting and shows the many stages in the creation of some of the modern pieces.

For anyone who admires René Lalique's work or Art Nouveau/Deco in general, this newish museum is not to be missed. All information is in English as well as French. I had no idea previously that RL was a jeweller - and a very successful one - for years before he started concentrating on the glasswork for which he is better... More

The Musee is filled with Lalique glass and jewelry. Quite stunning. The audio guide is excellent. Only shame is that is as tucked away in the Vosges as it is. The place would be packed out if was in a major city. But you should make the effort it is brilliant!
