A group of 5 of us get together every year for a weekend away. This year our destination was the lighthouse at Norah Head. We booked into the assistant lighthouse keeper's cottage for 2 nights. Split between 5, the cost was negligible. The accommodation is...More

An interesting tourist attraction. Very popular for weddings. There are cottages available for rent for extended stays. The rock shelf below is good for fishing and exploring but not for swimming. All beaches around the base are unpatrolled.

The lighthouse is a small drive from the main highway. Unfortunately the tour was over by the time we got there but we did look around. Also the display board was fenced off so we could not read about the rock ledges just out from...More

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting this lighthouse and point OLUS we watched migrating whales pass, which is apparently common at this time of year.

This Lighthouse is in a beautiful location surrounded by well maintained gardens thanks to the hard working volunteers. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Plenty of parking and a short easy walk to the lighthouse.

Worth a visit. You can, when volunteers are on duty, take a tour of the lighthouse at $6 for adults. Noticed that old residences have been refurbished and are available for holiday rental. Would be a great location for a holiday.
