Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The tour was amazing! Kim was a lovely tour guide and we learnt so much about the history of the lighthouse and surrounding area. Definitely worth the low cost of the tour, should be much more expensive!!! Definitely recommend this activity.

Tour was $20 for a family. Well worth it for our kids at 10 & 8 yrs old. They found it very interesting with lots of unique facts. Views extend south to Terrigal and north to Newcastle.
It’s a well kept lighthouse with an impressive light housing.
Get there at opening on weekends to avoid the crowd.

Disappointed that it was closed on Australia Day, as plenty of tourists around, and our grandson would have liked it. Plenty of plaques though showing the history.
View to the sea is calming and spectacular.
Also parts of it now used for accomodation.

Fantastic local attraction 90 mins driving distance from Sydney.
It had great sea views, views and more views. We loved the lighthouse, great rock platform and landscape right at the sea. The first thing we noticed was the sound from the sea waves from the lighthouse. Kids loved the opportunities to locate sea crabs and fishes swimming under clear Waters.
Let the pictures do the talking!

Beautifully maintained lighthouse, still in use. The grounds and building are fantastic. The panoramic views so worth the climb. Great walking tracks easy to do. Keith, our guide & the other volunteers were really informative. Many thanks

Lovely walk out on either the road or bush track from Bush St. Good signage and interesting memorial to the many shipwrecks on the point. Worth taking a guided tour to gain an extra perspective. I'd be interested to know the standard and charge of the accommodation available.

With a small fee of $6, you get a guided tour of the lighthouse. Volunteers run this place and it is definitely well maintained. The view was absolutely gorgeous and we got to know more about classical lighthouses and how it was operated in the old days. We had Steve as our guide, he was informative and lovely to talk to :)
100% recommended to all!
You can also take a little walk down to the beach and the rocks. Its picture perfect tho a little windy.

Still an active lighthouse, it is great to climb to the top. Even the view at the balcony is great. The $6 guided tour is worth every cent (yes, you have to join the guided tour to enter the tower). Yet it is like a private tour, the volunteer started the tour right after we (a party of 2) paid the fee. The opening hours is a bit short though, from 10am to 1:30pm. It is just 45 minutes from Gosford. A place not to be missed when you visit the central coast.

Thanks so much for your kind words Ernest.
Happy that your $6.00 was worth every cent as our Volunteers do a fantastic job.
We are always looking for volunteers to assist with Tours. Everyone welcome.
Regards
Tracy
