Only an hour from Ottawa or Montreal. Such a lovely spot, mist on the lake in the morning, and mirror-like lake near our spot. We stayed at site 84, very nice, but have already scouted out other sites for next year :). Leaves changing colour and guess flying south. A bit nippy at night, but nothing a good campfire couldn't... More

Our whole experience was awesome!!! This campground is great for all ages!! We went with our five year old daughter and friends also got two separate lots next to ours!! Everyone had so much fun!! We went pedal boating, hung out at the beach, sat by the fire at night just an overall fun camping experience!! The one and only... More

A great trip with the kids to a close by campground. We stayed in campground Iriquois A and it was very close to a beach. Campsites were as excluded as possible, with treed areas in between all sites. Large enough for 2 cars and 2 tents on each site (12$ extra a night per car but you can park close... More

We had a nice time in this park. It has some nice gentle canoeing, nice beaches and shallow water in the swim area for children. Granted we camped in site 266 (a bit sunny) which had close access to the beach and we never ventured to see the more crowded main public beach. And when I say "nice beach" I... More

The park itself is lovely. Plenty of mature trees and wooded area, thick under brush. Large sites, fair privacy. We had site 35, the park area adjacent to the site only offered a teeter totter and bars; big disappointment for our kids. Park staff were friendly, but made few rounds for security in our section; a nice change from some... More

This is the kind of camp site you visit when you want some piece and quiet. The sites are large enough that you don't see your neighbours business. The beach is perfect to cool off in, with a little store with a snack bar. The snack bar is a little slow on food orders. Bathroom facilities are clean and accessible.... More

The Coureur des Bois is a major attraction within Voyageur Provincial Park. I have hiked it in spring, summer and fall and each time was very enjoyable. During my most recent hike, aside from seeing the beautiful colours, I saw some small garter snakes. This was during a late afternoon. These were small snakes, and only my first time seeing... More

....but still a great stay! The radio free campground is quiet and the sites are large and relatively private. The beach nearby has a large grassy area for 'lounging'. My only complaint about the beach is that there are a lot of weeds that reach pretty much to the surface of the water - a little unpleasant when swimming. We... More

If you've got young kids that love water then this one is for you. The beach is beautiful, clean, with greenery all around. The water is also very shallow and geta deeper very slowly. 30 feet I to the water the depth is only about 3' so it's perfect for kids.

The sites are very wooded (416 sites). 3/4 allow you to bring your pet. There are very nicely designed as you can't see either the sites across or beside you. Ours had a horseshoe access so no backing up. Absolutely privacy and calm.
