Excellent Site
Aug. 2021 • Family
Stayed at Blakemere on our first trip in our caravan and have been really impressed with the site. The facilities are well maintained and Paul really went over and above in all aspects to help us settle in as new caravan owners. Nothing was too much to ask and all of the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The site has lots to offer and there is plenty to do nearby. Will definitely be retuning.

Another good stay
Jul. 2021
Yet again we visted Blakemere touring site this time for five nights ,as usual all was kept clean and tidy ,but yet again campers with dogs (not all) seem to think" dogs must be kept on short leads and clean their mess up" does not apply to them same as NO ball games especially round caravans etc just ignored .I have to mention again the amount of dust in dry weather and the black wet dust when it rains is not getting any better this not helped by drivers not taking their foot of the gas and travel at a sedate pace so as not to have a dust storm behind them ,better surfaces are available , the problem is with all this dust it gets everywhere so its a big clean up after the visit .But saying all that our stay pleasant enough Mikes bar and the village bars are up and running . We will be back in October for the forest light show.

Rubbish
Jul. 2021 • Couples
Sorry but I really can't give this place a 1 the service is absolutely awful... I have never been for food in the 54 years of my life were the service is so poor. I no its been a difficult 18 months for hospitality industry but this place really can't give any reason why it was so bad. We waited nearly an hour to even take our drinks order and that was only after I went and asked someone to come. Our table was booked via the website over aweek before it had reserved on it but it was filthy dirty. We wanted an other half a hour to even get our drinks then the order was wrong.... Then finally after nearly 2 hours our food came which is very over priced especially when the chicken & mushroom pie is a wrights pie with chip and gravy but the charged £10 discusting.... Tuna Salad £9, chicken ceser salad £9 the chicken was that dry you could of used it for a sole on my shoes... So all in all not a very good experience and this was a treat for my dad's 80th birthday.. Very disappointed.

Do not buy from this shark
I went into to this shop after seeing his banner on the way home. He seemed a nice fella talking to him. So I bought a golf glove I didn’t need one, but well he has been helpful and good to talk to. He let me try the glove on which was clearly marked £9.99. It fitted and I paid for it by contactless. He didn’t give me the box or the receipt. On the way home I checked what I had paid £15.00. He had ripped me off. I phoned him up for him to say that’s how much they are and gave me a whole load of cock and bull. Internet price £7.99 this bloke is a con man. Do not use. He will never get any business from me ever again.

What a wonderful stay at blakemere village, site was spotless and facilities where 5*****, shower block one of the best I've ever used, they have pizza or fish and chip menu that can be delivered to your pitch, we went into the blakemere social on the Friday evening, it's a lovely teepee and gives you a proper holiday vibe, the covid compliance measures in place are very well organised and adhered to, all in all a very pleasant experience, one which I will definitely be repeating.

Very disappointed
Jul. 2021 • Couples
Used to love coming here to have a look and buy things, call in the restaurant or tea room. Sadly went there today and in our humble opinion it is rubbish. A fun fair where the garden centre was, half the the shops shut, and the ones left having mainly bits and pieces of nothing in particular. Such a shame been driving the 40 miles here for years, will switch our attention to Dagfields.

Lunch meet up
Jun. 2021 • Friends
Have been here several times before Covid and always had a good meal.
Staff as always at the restaurant helpful and accommodating.
I had the Sunday lunch carvery.
Friend had fish and chips.
Think they are going to review the carvery as I’m sure they must have wasted food as very few had it to eat. Perhaps just do Sunday lunch at certain times so it’s hot and freshly done.
Worth thinking about as less people seem to be eating out at the moment there.
Lady in charge did fresh veg for me . Thank you !
Friend had fish and chips. Ok but not easy to eat on a board, especially peas !
Sandwiches and scone cream tea looked lovely.

We’ve just returned from another great stay here. We took advantage of the great location and enjoyed lovely walks in the fab weather. Roomy pitches and everything you could want. Facilities all managed perfectly and Covid safe. The additional social facilities at the Tipee were a bonus, had a fab night on Saturday with DJ and Saxophonist, will definitely look out for these guys playing again.

Good camp shame about very dusty roads .
Jun. 2021 • Couples
Good points Nice touring park. Clean toilets and
Showers. Opposite a nice craft village.
Bad points .. roads round camp not tarmaced
and create lots of dust when vehicles drive by as well as children skidding on bikes which goes all over your car and caravan . Also when sitting outside dust blows all over you. Not alot of space to get caravan on your pitch as pitches are packed in close together. They would not allow my husband (aged 60 )to use his electric scooter around the camp as he suffers with breathing problems. But lots on children on bikes skidďing round under no control.

Thank you for your review, all feedback helps us maintain and improve our site. With the hot weather the roadways are more dusty than usual and they are on the list to be addressed when funds allow. We are sorry that we could not allow your husband to use his E-scooter on site (although we can allow recognized mobility scooters). Unfortunately, we have been advised by the legal team from the BH&HPA that they are classed as motor vehicles. In practice only E-scooters rented from the Government schemes in major cities will meet the necessary construction and insurance requirements for use on a road. As all roads on Blakemere are likely to be subject to road traffic law, which applies to any road to which there is some public access, accordingly, any use of an E scooter on a park road is likely to be a criminal offence. It is not just our site that this will apply to. We do hope to see you at Blakemere again. If you contact us direct, we will try our best to ensure a suitable pitch can be booked near to all of our amenities.
