About
Make a pitstop at the award-winning Swan Valley Visitor Centre and our friendly staff will help you get the most out of your Swan Valley sojourn. We’ve been voted the best Visitor Centre in the state at the 2017 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards AND we scooped gold as the best Visitor Centre in Australia at the prestigious QANTAS Australian Tourism Awards. We'd like to think these plaudits have a lot to do with our wide knowledge and helpful hints. We know the Swan Valley inside and out and back to front, and can tell you all the hidden nooks and crannies, the award winners, the family friendly, the romantic spots, the natural wonders and the many interactive experiences on offer. We’re here to answer any questions, allay any concerns and assist you with advice, maps and brochures. And we're open Monday to Sunday all year round, from 9am to 4pm (closed Christmas Day).

The Visitor Information Centre is always our first stop when arriving at a new town. The service we have had on our trip varies from 'not interested to excellent'. This is definitely one of the best we have visited so far. The person helping us gave us lots of information of tours, attractions in the area and accessing all of these. We came away with an armful of brochures and we were invited to call back at any time. They will take care of bookings for us if we like. A most worthwhile stop.

I thought that I had a fairly comprehensive list of attractions until I visited the Centre and discussed options with the lady present. She updated me on various amendments to my list, added a few other attractions and marked up a map of the Valley to enable us to identify the various attractions and appropriate routes to take.
Helpful, friendly and great advice, thank you. Prior to departing we enjoyed the small historical exhibition at the rear of the premises. Well stocked with various literature and assorted mementos.

This visitors centre is over and above any we have been in touch with in this state These girls are awesome What can I say ... second time we have been there and they are an asset to their region. So much time was taken to help us and as a result my sister and I had the best time. I can’t remember the lady’s name but she will know ... we thank you Highly recommend calling in there before you head into the valley 👌

If you want a good "heads up" on attractions and dining options, then Swan Valley Visitor Centre should be your first call. Welcoming, friendly, informative, staff really tailored our few days to our special interests and dining interests. So many options and suggested itineraries. Great detailed map of locations "marked up" for us and really helpful when our GPS lacked an update for the new and revised road systems. Kudos ladies.

Lovely experience at the beginning of our three day getaway in the Swan Valley. Carol provided lots of information to help this octogenarian couple plan a delightful mini holiday at the end of a long Covid-19 winter. We enjoyed the museum and walking around the old buildings in the precinct.

It's easy to see why the Swan Valley Visitor Centre was awarded by Quantas last year as the best information centre.

We called into the Visitors Centre on a day trip to Guildford.
Staff were very helpful and friendly and gave us a map for some walking trails.
We did one of the walks and it was well signposted and very interesting.

This area is not only beautiful especially in winter but it is a great all great round place for food and drink.

No matter the season you can find a brewery, restaurant or winery close by. The quality of wines are world acclaimed with some of the bigger wine makers having spacious grounds and hold regular events.

The great thing is that it's close to the city and affordable to visit. There is lots of public transport, ride share or tour companies available to take you there. I especially like the nearby pubs especially near the Guildford area.

An old building interesting with the history alone. All the info needed for a run around the area of Swan valley which is a major must do drive when in Perth. Staff were very good with information. A great spot to start a days run.

Swan Valley seems to be an off the beaten path place for wineries. Most of the wineries have really old vines, which make for stellar wines. I found customer service really lacking in some places, which was quite disappointing. It’s not as fun to drink wine when the people pouring are not really into talking about their wines, having fun at their job and generally seem like they don’t want to be there. John Kosivich has great wines and a beautiful winery but found the friendly and warm customer service element lacking. The place I did like, had a great time talking to the gentleman and the wines were great was Mann winery. Champagne style wines that were fabulous and the owner and wine maker had a breadth of history and knowledge to share as well as great integrity in the sparkling he makes. We had a blast at Tyler winery talking with one of the owners, learning about their vines and making a take home label for our delish fortified.
