Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Quirky building made out of 900 straw bales with a variety of metal bird sculptures in the garden out the front. Lovely atmosphere inside. Viewing window to watch what is being made. Good selection of chocolate and it is yummy, creamy chocolate. We also had a dark hot chocolate, a coffee and a salted caramel tart ... very nice. Great spot for morning tea.

The chocolate is definitely why you visit here. It’s delicious, creamy and worth the stop.

We didn’t eat or hang around as it was just lacking in atmosphere.

Pretty ordinary, have driven past many times and decided to visit this once. Dark and dingy, service quite slow but staff member was quite pleasant and took a caring approach to packaging. Chocolate itself is very ordinary, Haighs pricing but quality is well short. The Honeycomb chocolate seems to have a few flicks of honeycomb spread throughout but the chocolate is very low end and very sweet. Bought a few individual chocolates also but similarly disappointing.

Prefer to pop into the local IGA or just order Haighs online.

I drink hot chocolate in preference to coffee and this is perhaps the best hot chocolate I have ever had. Plus their chocolates are excellent.

The Chocolate Mill is a little out of the way gem serving some of the best chocolates. Making a decision on what to buy takes up the greatest amount of time as they all look so inviting. And we were not disappointed with any of our choices.

We stopped by for some hot chocolate which was delicious. We bough the smaller bag of chocolate powder and then decided to upsize it and the friendly lady at the counter was more than happy to do this for us. Great service and delicious ethical chocolates without palm oil.

Amazing fair trade chocolate varieties and the hot chocolate in the café is to die for. Definitely make a quick pit-stop here. Very sweet gardens with beautiful iron work (for sale)

A little gem we discovered on the way to Castlemaine. You can see the Chocolate being made and there are demonstrations twice a day.

We drove out from Hepburn, not far, but living near the Yarra Valley Chocolate we were excited to see another one.
It was disappointing.
The grounds where untidy and unkept, and overgrown.
It was dark and dingy.
You can’t really see them making much as the “window’ to view is small.
This place is just a very small Chocolate Shop with even a smaller range of chocolates.
On a side note, the chocolate was nice, just save time and order it online.
