I love to walk, bike and run in Dyrehaven, alone with friends or family. The diversity of the park (Trees, lakes and animals) is why I love coming back again and again.

Nice park, and you can see deers roaming freely in there. Would be even better if you had a bike to cycle around as the park is big. Would probably spend about 2-3 hours here.

This place is apparently very popular amongst locals. We visited it because it's inscribed as a UNESCO world heritage site "Royal par force hunting grounds". This one includes a small castle, a golf course and deer heard roaming around freely. It was a lovely sunny...More

Aboslutely one of the most beautiful parks I’ve ever been to. Deer wandering around wherever you go, and stunning nature all around. We spent a sunny sunday here. Not too many options for food, so I would bring lunch. Free entrance. Quite big, so a...More

Walk my dog (or myself) there almost every day and apart from beautiful scenery the place offers peace, time for thoughts, a getaway from a busy life. The area has open plains as well as forests, flat land as well as hills. The east boundary...More

We took in the morning a train and went to final stop next to the park. You can rent a bike and cross the park easily. Enjoy the deers, castle, nice landscape.. Not really bars or café inside park.

Beautiful deer park that used to be the Royal hunting grounds. About 8 miles from Copenhagen but easy to get there on the train (Klampenborg St). We rented bikes just outside the station and rode through the park. People also just walk, ride horses or...More

Visited the park in May . The park is 1100 ha large, several centuries old, huge old trees , at present freshly green. Deers move around freely no matter the neighborhood of a huge old amusement park, 400 years old and several taverns, inns and...More

Shame about having a golf club in the north quarter, but what a lovely (and big) park! You start in klampenborg with a beach not immune to some (very) brave skinny dippers - the sea looks but probably doesnt feel amazing. Sandy beaches and an...More

How does one actually drive into Jaegerborg Dyrehave since today (was) a Wednesday? I spent a few days trying to search for details of how to drive into the park up to Eremitageslot, in preparation for today (Wednesday). The official park website says that one can do so via the Trepileporten gate. Trouble is this gate is hard to find on both Google Maps and the TomTom I was using. The closest point I found was Trepilevej, but there's no drive-through gate, just practically a dead-end. Left Trepilevej, and found an open red gate further down the main road, only to be chased away by an elderly local who says there's no such rule which allows driving through the park on Wednesdays. I wasn't going to drive through that gate in the first place - I was trying to check out the park's map to find other drive through points. In the end, left the place feeling very disappointed having not found the way to the heart of the park. In case you're wondering, it was raining all of today, and I was travelling with an elderly who can't walk much, thus the need to drive.

Hi, the right gate is Hjortekaerport ( gate) accesible from Hjortekaervej, but it is only open for cars on Wednesdays sunrise-sunset time. Alternatives are to take S-train to Klampenborg station and hire a horsecarriage... More
